True. But one question for me is why have we had quite so many injuries?

My sense is the pattern of injuries is largely due to a small squad not having the opportunity for rotation.

Even a manager whose comments are always measured made it clear we desperately needed reinforcements before Christmas.

In that context, to let so many January games drift by without reinforcements looks like gross negligence.

I am unconvinced by the quality of our transfer dealings. I expect us to slip down the table, with another good opportunity wasted.

What impact do Waggott and Suhail expect this to have on a super manager? What impact to they expect it to have on players' willingness to commit their futures to the club?

I am resigned to a disappointing fade out this season and gravely concerned about next season.

Everybody in football knows. Stand still and you go backwards...

Venky's and stooges out!

Yes Leonard. That's certainly how it's looking just now. Especially if Eustace leaves.

There is however a resilience and team spirit within the group that offers a ray of hope.

Think Eustace will go at some point in the next 18 months as well. We are one bad managerial appointment from being in the real doo doo.

Looking like he could be gone in the next 48 hours never mind 18 months

FA Cup not as important as the league I’m afraid.

Progressing to the 5th round and possibly beyond will not make up for the failure to capitalise on our excellent start to the season by not adding quality to the squad at the beginning of January not the beginning of February.

Fair enough

So say we manage to get to the qtr final and there's 8000 tickets on offer like at Shef utd a couple of years ago

Will the boycotting fans still be boycotting?

No one’s boycotting. The fixture just doesn’t appeal after the shambles of the transfer window, the recent let downs and the stupid kick off time.

A quarter final, one game off Wembley, would be a different situation and different appeal.

The word boycotting has 100 percent been used

As has digital tickets,£3 discount for season ticket holders not enough, price increase on match day, price increase for buying at the ground

If we was playing Man utd, Liverpool etc I'd cast iron guarantee the ground would be sold out for tomorrow

Course it would. Cos it would be a more attractive game. That would happen at most clubs.

Im not going cos I have plans on Sundays, Waggot is a nobhead, the transfer window has been a joke considering the postition we are in  and if the owners can’t commit to the future of the clubs playing staff then I’m not not going to commit to a game which isn’t glamour and  I can watch on bbc.

Disagree. The League's gone for the reasons you mention in the last para imo.

Conversely for a few one off games in normal circumstances Id have been optimistic we could raise our game.

Sadly I think we'll be completely demoralised by the rumours concerning the manager and be well beaten now.

I don't think Jim is responsible for us losing.

was tongue in cheek comment but Jim's record of watching us and losing is extremely poor. Lets hope he not going today.

Everyone keeps bleating about us not being good enough for the top top six. Yet we are 6th and it's now February.

exactly, we are still 6th after yesterday

We have been here before

8 points from 11 games .Shite Transfer window again.Manager being linked with every club going. Small squad being stretched and missing key men.

Can you really blame people for thinking we won't finish in the top 6?

If we don't start picking up wins soon we will be down in 9th or 10th and top 6 will be a distant memory

Look how much ground the likes of Coventry, Norwich,  Sheff Wednesday,  Bristol City ,Qpr etc have made on us in the last couple of months

Boro ,West Brom and Watford have had spells of poor form and inconsistency during our bad run

West Brom have arguably made the signing of the window in Armstrong imo,  the guy is guaranteed goals for them. And yes Boro lost Latth but they have brought in good signings on paper

Its very hard to be confident of top 6 right now

that's your opinon that the window was shite but you don't know that until we see them play and whether they can hit the ground running.

How about some positive thinking and looking that we have been there all season around top 6 and the brilliant job that Eustace and players have done since the summer. PMA

Yet are any of Coventry, Norwich, Sheff Wednesday Bristol City and QPR above us in the league despite how recent poor form?

Boro have sold their goalscorer and not permanent replace him. Just with a short term loan. You would be front of the queue kicking off over not signing a permanent replacement.

Yes Mowbray has got Armstrong in and it a good signing for them. No problem is saying this

Last 2 months we have been poor, those teams mentioned have closed the gap on us but for a last minute goal,Norwich would have gone ahead of us.

Ihneacho they have an option on.Guaranteed they will also go and spend 5 million+  on a striker in the summer whilst we target freebies and loans

They also spent £8 million on Whittaker

Crap KO time on free to air, it’s only the fourth round against meh opposition as far as the PL goes. No different to similar ties in the past - the Josh King Stoke tie immediately springs to mind.

The gate today is neither here nor there in the grand scheme of things.

I am currently in South Africa at the moment, is there any way of watching the game today. As it’s an FA cup game I assume that it’s not available on Rovers tv?

Would iPlayer work? either with or without a VPN?

If so then its free

If you go on there it has a list of foreign channels if you scroll down. You might have access to some of these on local TV?

For anyone actually going to the game, just a reminder that Livesey Branch Road is CLOSED at Green Lane, due to a gas main leak which is still under investigation and repair. It will be chaotic due to being the approach to the ground for many of the 4500 Wolves fans making the trip from the MIdlands. There is a diversion in place, but it won't cope well will the extra traffic.

Be warned! Be early! And B R F C S forget the gloom and doom sayers, it's a game and we want to win!

COYB!

I suspect this is exactly how most Rovers fans feel right now. Next season will be tough and the season after will be guaranteed league one (if we aren't there already) as Tronstad, Hyam, Travis and Brittain will all walk out the door for free and replaced with free transfers.
