Herbie6590
Let’s get down to brass tacks…are we going to take this seriously? Do we want Eustace to take it seriously? How many debutants? How many mentions of Dave Whelan?

roversfan99
Im sure we will get lots of people saying they dont care but I would really like to win and it is important. I would make a few changes and start all the new players as we havent time to ease them in with cameos, there are 15 league games left and they have to be better than Hedges, Dolan and co. Some of the defenders in particular could do with a rest but we dont have the options without significantly weakening ourselves. Beck is carrying an injury and Travis is just back so they are the 2 I think should be prioritised. Toth Brittain Hyam Batth Ribeiro JRC Buckley ACD Woodrow Kargbo Dennis
philipl
To the extent the new signings are serious, we will be taking this seriously. Wolves are likely to have a second eleven out which even so will be an extremely tough test seeing as they are an established PL side. Toth Brittain Hyam Batth Ribeiro JRC Buckley ACD Woodrow Kargbo Dennis I can see why people would want to concentrate on the league but gotta love a cup run. Beating a premier league team is always great (even if they are struggling) Deffo make changes for this and start all 3 new lads. If they reckon Trav can do Sun, Wed, Sat then he needs to start but agree that he's only just got back, so could be worth a rest.
BankEnd Rover
I think we'll win this one. Wolves bringing 4,500...Have we even sold that many? Edited February 7 by BankEnd Rover

Went basically as strong as they could at Bristol City. Cunha was banned. 53 minutes ago, davulsukur said: I can see why people would want to concentrate on the league but gotta love a cup run. Obviously one is certainly not happening and the other almost certainly isnt happening any time soon either. But one of the Rovers pages put up a poll earlier, would you rather win the FA Cup or get promoted. I found it incredible that most preferred promotion. Valconite
Would love a win and go on a cup run. Hopefully it could be the catalyst to stop our poor league form also. Won’t be easy though.
DeeCee
Trav will riot if he's left out lol Chuck all the new guys in (if they are up for it) give it "a right good go" Toth to start, treat it as a bonus match, we aren't going to win the cup so a chance to evaluate the new guys and keep the destroyers 😁 for next Saturday against Argyle (when I'm in the Blackburn End) 💪
BlackburnEnd75
Personally I'd look to pick the team vs west brom now and work backwards. And working out who needs a game which is pretty much all the new lads. Wba and Plymouth are two massive games for us. Need a point followed by a home win. Then it's back to a game a week. Keep it tight here and look to nick it with new found pace on the break. Toth Jrc. Hyam. Batth. Ribiero Forshaw. Buckley Acd. Cantwell. Kargbo Dennis Subs: Pears, brittain, Beck, Travis, dolan, hedges, weimann, woodrow, Gueye

I do, but only because I see it as the most likely scenario in which we're sold. I agree with your original line up. I hate the midfield but I would rest Trav. Cantwell needs dropping and ideally not bringing on. Give the new attackers a run out, we don't have 2/3 weeks for cameos. Sink or swim. Forever Blue
Wolves look a much better team under their new manager. We’ll have a play very well and have all the luck to get anything out of this IMO. 2
chaddyrovers
I would like to play our strongest 11 in this league but we got to make the league and playoff place, so we need to rotate the squad. my starting 11 is Toth JRC Hyam Batth Ribeiro Buckley Forshaw ACD Woodrow Karbgo Dennis

I think this game will show what a huge gap there is between an ordinary Premier League team and an ordinary Championship team. Based on recent Wolves I think they'll cut through us like a knife through butter. I just hope we come out of this without new injuries. BUT---its the FA Cup so stranger things have happened! (hedging bets there!)

sverrehh
Listening to Eustace's pre match interview (BBC), it is evident that he will rotate players; play the new signings and give chances to others.
SuperBrfc
The wrong time for us to be playing them, IMO. We might have had a chance of making it a close game five weeks ago when Tronstad was fit and our defence was generally looking resolute. Now though, we're looking soft centred and are up against a team with many technical and quick players. Even if they rest Cunha and Ait-Nouri, they've still got Guedes, Hee-Chan and either Gomes in midfield for us to deal with. Bellegarde looks ordinary by Prem standards, but is a worldie by Championship standards. They will have too much for us, IMO. I think our best hope is our new signings starting and catching them by surprise. The pace and movement of Kargbo and Dennis could cause issues and it's a new start for Woodrow too, so you never know. It looks a tall order though.

You arent going to tell the grandkids about that season you avoided relegation.

I hope we win against Wolves 10-0. However, winning promotion gives us the chance to secure the clubs future in many ways for generations to come. Plus the chance to get rid of these owners. Every gane is a cip final in the PL and the financial benefits of promotion far outweigh some temporary enjoyment in a cup competition. sharpysharps86
Hopefully the new signings all get a decent amount of minutes in this one, we certainly need to rest some regulars. That being said, I don't think Eustace will play a vastly different team, and as much as I'd like to rest Travis ahead of an important game at West Brom, the idea of Forshaw and Buckley starting together scares the hell out of me. Toth JRC Batth Hyam Ribeiro Travis Forshaw Dolan Woodrow Kargbo Gueye I don't think Dennis will start. For him to come in and start against premier league side after not playing a competitive game since last season is a big ask IMO. Expecting him to come off the bench though. Gueye against premier league defenders should be entertaining at least! On the midfield...here's the thing: I don't rate Forshaw at all, probably one of the worst signings we've made in years....BUT I do think he's more suited to the Tronstad role than Buckley, which is why I've got him starting over Buckley and alongside Travis. It is a bit like picking between two turds unfortunately 😂. I think Wolves will have too much on the day. I'll go 0-2 defeat.
levi
I turned down free corporate tickets for Wembley with transport the other year with hull (through the Mrs work) as I didn't want to watch another team there first I've now been twice..... on a tour with my lad and took my daughter to watch Taylor frigging swift there so I'm really hoping we can cause an upset I really want to watch rovers at the 'new' wembley....that ball across the goal line at Shef utd a couple of years ago still haunts me...along with pedersons header thinking about it
