Dont think its a case of boycotting its the time and day of the match a lot of people have other commitment on a sunday morning with kids football ,sunday leagues etc i have 2 grandchildren playing at the same time as the match and family always comes first.

Sold a pup by the owners and walked at the first opportunity. Some PR heavy lifting by various people at Rovers has since sullied what was a decent stint that was on an upward trajectory before being harpooned. 

Disagree completely on Lambert. Started off well for the first 5 games then lost the players and it was dire stuff from thereon in. It was only a couple of wins in the last two games of the season which were dead rubbers after he announced he was leaving that made his record look slightly more respectable than it really was.

Also knew exactly what he was doing, was only in it for himself as evidenced by him putting in the break clause.

He wasnt wrong with some of the things he said in the Press about the ambition of the owners of course but notwithstanding that he was quite happy to come in and take their money and get himself back on the job ladder for a limited period.

Betting suspended on Eustace for Derby County according to my news feed. Make of it what you will, but if he goes, I think there would be decent odds on the Rams finishing higher than Rovers this campaign..

Back to today.. it is a scratch team, but JE did say he would be throwing in the new boys for this game, and so it appears from the team sheet. 

If we suffer an embarrassing reverse, Ruby should be hung by the knackers from the statue of Uncle Jack. If we somehow win, then perhaps he could be given the reins, if JE decides to head to the midlands.

Stray thoughts on the lineup (obviously Eustace's potential exit hangs over all this...)

- Whatever you think about our transfer window, this is a welcome opportunity to give some competitive minutes to Dennis, Kargbo, and Ribeiro

- That said, odd that Woodrow isn't included. I'm surprised Cantwell's been given a start instead given he looked to be carrying a knock on Tuesday (or at least that better be his excuse for that performance...), but perhaps hard to fit Woodrow into that front 4

- Might as well give Buckley some more game time, even if my hopes for him turning it around are rather faint these days... Forshaw, well, might as well expose how bad he is

- Yeesh, what's the plan if Batth or Hyam go down? While I thought Sanderson's reasonable cover in place of McFadzean, and while we wait on Carter's return, it's a shame he's cup-tied for this very game... Do you really want, I dunno, Ribeiro/Trav/JRC as an emergency CB instead of, say, Litherland or Pratt on the bench?

- Haven't been happy with his performances this year, but happy to see JRC at RB to give Brittain a rest, whose been one of our best this year and I'm worried he's getting run into the ground.

- Good for Toth to get another opportunity with Pears teetering a bit.
