I don't think we need any money. We clearly have no intent to use the money generated from transfer revenue for anything other than basic overheads. 

I don't think the club generating extra revenue has any impact on anything.

Good summary. Maybe it is is the freshly pressed dark roasted Aeropress coffee early in the morning, but there was a lot to be positive about with that performance. Left side looks very good and will skin a few Championship defences. Dennis will be a handful when he is fit. Gueye continues to be a nuisance

The obvious weaknesses didn't disappear and we all know them.

The only way a goalkeeper improves is regular games. You can miss a few tackles and get away with staying out of the spotlight. ( take a bow Mr Cantwell) but there is no hiding place for a goalkeeper. 

Hopefully there is a goalkeeper in there somewhere but we will never know from cameo appearances. Remember that goalie who Mowbray shipped  out because he and othere on this forum didn't rate him

If you are on the ‘sooner we end up in administration the better’ boat then fair enough. But otherwise, clearly we do need the money.

Toth looks a liability and JRC was awful. Ultimately , a bit like against Forest in the league cup QF a few years ago, you just saw the gulf between bottom of Prem and our level.

Agree, Kargbo looked like a Dolan-type. Eager small runner but link play and judgment dubious. However, it is early and can hope.

I actually thought the CBs were poor today - both showing why they ply their trade in the Championship. Too many free headers in the box because they couldn't deal with the movement of the Wolves players.

To be fair I thought Buckley had a good game and JRC made mistakes but got better as the game went on. Still a very decent player at this level when he's in form and playing with confidence

Far more importantly after 14 years plus of general decline we as fans desperately need a bit of success on the pitch. Wherever it comes from, be it League or Cup.

I don't think so. 

We are out of golden eggs for now, if we are committed to only spending exactly what we can afford as a self-sufficient club then we will be able to keep the lights on through transfers. 

There will be enough academy talent and the odd player increasing in value and we will be able to keep things going.

Put it this way, the couple of hundred thousand generated from an extra cup tie isn't going to make the slightest bit of difference. Let's say things got THAT bad. What is that? Another week of staying in business?

JDT is the only manager who's really managed to get a tune out of him.

That isn't some pro-JDT statement, but I think he's a fairly limited player and it is the only time that the system really worked in his favour.
