Interesting post-match comments from Eustace. Looks like he will give the club one final chance to make assurances for the upcoming season or he will leave. If the club is not giving any guarantees regarding summer transfer budget or contract extensions for basically half of the entire squad, then he sees no future for himself here (and rightly so).

Obviously he's been extremely disappointed and felt let down with how slow the club has acted in this transfer window, leading to many valuable points lost due to all the injuries with an already thin squad.

This could be very painful week for our Club.

When isn't it?

I've probably enjoyed about 5 weeks in the last 15 years these guys have owned us.

We lost and still look goal - shy.

Even if Eustace stays (unlikely) I don’t expect a significant upturn in results.

I really don't get why it's unlikely that he'll stay. I would struggle to understand why you would jack in a year's worth of work from turning a relegation fodder team into potential play-off contenders for, what, more relegation fodder and jack-all money. It'd be a strange decision to me.

…… it’s what it will say about Venky Rovers that is the main point for us.

Because Derby are promising him a plan and structure.

Everything at Rovers is about surviving until the next bill is due.

The well is practically bone dry.

Given the lack of talent and the contract situations who (apart from Carter)  could we possibly sell for a worthwhile sum?

We will get some compensation for Dolan.

Tyjon will probably end up being worth something. Not Wharton levels, but a talented English attacking player will always be worth a few million.

Pears could be shifted for a couple of million if we ever saw fit. Please God.

We will get Sigurdsson off of the wage bill this summer and likely give up on the Cantwell experiment at some point over the next 18 months and trim wages further. You then take the Dennis wages off of the wage bill and we will be looking at a much lower spend next year compared with this.

As history has also shown, every couple of years we will get an academy talent through who will be worth 2/3m+.

I'm not advocating this approach, but I don't think the club is going to go out of business.

….. and even if he does get assurances, he’s surely learned by now that they are worthless.

JDT is the only manager who's really managed to get a tune out of him.

That isn't some pro-JDT statement, but I think he's a fairly limited player and it is the only time that the system really worked in his favour.

Yep that’s when I thought he was at his best, I’m really struggling to see what he actually offers, I couldn’t tell you what his strengths are.

Toth looked poor today which is disappointing since Pears has looked like a liability lately and we cannot keep gifting away cheap goals. Thought Kargbo had a decent debut. With more pace in the side our opponents should be more afraid to press high up the pitch.

The game has become immaterial because of the off field shit show. But it wasnt enjoyable. They could and should have had more in that second half. We had that 6 game spell where we knew the team, everything was perfectly well drilled and meticilously planned. Today felt like what it was, a side of cheapos cobbled together, constantly giving the ball away on a terrible pitch (thanks again Venkys).

Toth is another Wahlstedt, an absolute disaster. Forshaw, less said about him the better. Cantwell is becoming more and more of a terrible signing.

Kargbo gave us pace at last even if his end product wasnt there. Ribiero was steady enough. Dennis yes is unfit but his general demeanour is of a player half arsed, not up for the rough and tumble, definitely isnt a proper number 9.

I certainly take no pride in not being thumped by the mighty Wolves at home.

Majority of us have been echoing this all January bar the odd suhail and waggot fan boys. Clearly hasn’t been backed the way he wanted. Shame as he seems a decent manager and better bloke 👍

What a weird game that was to experience. At first happy to see our new signings performing and then 5 min later find out about Eustace leaving then Wolves scoring. Poof! Absolutely numb and deflated to be honest. Really hope he stays and we can build on some of the performances today.

It shows how badly the club is ran that someone would even consider it.

Has this ever happened before in football where a manager in a potentially winning league position has chosen to swap clubs with one in a relegation fight?

Agree to disagree.

In that first half we had two players upfront that could run past their guy - it changed the dynamic of the game. When was the last time you saw Buckley fire a cross-field pass to a winger running in space? Hedges / Dolan et al are usually stood there stationary.

It'll take a few weeks to get them up to speed, but those two will add a lot to our attack. Moreso if Dennis agrees to play wide right with Gueye upfront.

Kargbo was one of the players that had an impact. And clearly offers more than Hedges and Dolan, not that its hard to.But I meant across the team. We are a long way from that 6 game run where it felt like everything was done to precision.

I’d say more Sooty and Sweep. The Rao’s have their hands up their arses and are puppets!
