However, winning promotion gives us the chance to secure the clubs future in many ways for generations to come.

In theory.

In realty Venkys will pocket the extra millions to partly off-set their" debts", deny us any chance to stay up and pocket the subsequent parachute money till it runs out.

Always back to square 1 with Venkys.

(Sorry Biz)

I know to a point it’s just accounting ‘formalities’ but they seem to have admitted this themselves (snippet from Venkys London accounts):

Looking at the seat plan this will be an awful home attendance.

It's the first home cup game I'll have missed in a long time, mainly because its on a Sunday lunchtime. If it was today (even at 12pm) I'd have been there.

Public transport on a Sunday is awful.

There's nothing to suggest much interest in this game locally, and certainly nothing on offer to incentivise local participation in the event.

It will, without a doubt, be more like a home game for Wolves, than for the Rovers.

It speaks volumes of the desperate and disheartening times we are now forced to endure to compare the relative fortunes of today's sides with those from 20 odd years ago, when Wolves made it to the Premier League.

We had quality right through the ranks then, and it just goes to show how far we have fallen to think how many of the players in the game above are way better than those we look to for inspiration these days.

So, not being funny, but I don't see any prospect of anything other than a defeat tomorrow.

Rovers fed to the Wolves: BRFC 1 WWFC 4

Lambs to the slaughter: Bo Peep FC 0 BBW 5

Wolverine meets scratch Team: Rovers 1 Wolverines 3

Not really bothered either way.

But wft, COYB!

Blackburn Rovers will always take the FA cup seriously, it's in our blood.

Our entire history was built off the fa cup.

"It's not 1928 you know"

Our current owners have devalued everything this club stands for, nothing to suggest they are bothered about the cup, other than getting income from away support or TV coverage.

47er got it spot on, if we were promoted (a big if) the venkys would milk the club dry, till they were back in the Championship. Were going nowhere while the chicken barons run the club.

i agree, though the owners, the fat, lazy ceo or the indian errand boy, show no ambition to get there, tbh im`e not bothered about promotion,i just want rovers to be back to being a  properly run club who show an actual interest in the fans.we can go back to being as skint as were in the 80`s for me,at least then everyone was together in the clubs best interests

That is very dark. Care to shed some light on your statement?

Maybe something to do with Derby?

Serves us right if he scarpers. Whilst I understand commercial reality, us being in the play offs all year was good enough reason to gamble on this manager and squad. Bigger money, spent earlier, nay have given us a few points breathing space between 4th and 6th.

Armstrong scores today for West Brom for example.

I turned down free corporate tickets for Wembley with transport the other year with hull (through the Mrs work) as I didn't want to watch another team there first

I've now been twice..... on a tour with my lad and took my daughter to watch Taylor frigging swift there so I'm really hoping we can cause an upset

I really want to watch rovers at the 'new' wembley....that ball across the goal line at Shef utd a couple of years ago still haunts me...along with pedersons header thinking about it

I went with my daughter & the Missus to watch Coldplay - at least u had Taylor to look at rather than Chris bloody Martin! 😂
