neophox Posted February 9 Posted February 9 The focus now is only on the championship....and shit on the likes of Derby. Quote

booth Posted February 9 Posted February 9 JRC is so poor. Buckley, Hedges, JRC should have been sent on their way years ago. There’s a strong case for Dolan too. Forshaw should never have been signed and Weimann’s best days are behind him. Along with Toth’s various blunders, what a poor performance. Kargbo looked promising. 2 Quote
RTM08 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Unsurprisingly, taking off the new signings put us back to being appalling moving forwards. Kargbo, Dennis Ribeiro look good, Woodrow was anonymous when he came on. I can't believe I'm saying it but Pears has to start if fit. 1 2 Quote

joey_big_nose Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Ultimately well beaten by Wolves but we acquitted ourselves reasonably well. Thought the centre backs, centre mids and the new signings played well. Toth and Cantwell were absolutely shocking. The subs couldnt make any impact. As long as Eustace doesn't quit then I feel like we will have more to offer at WBA than I expected based on today game. 5 Quote
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted February 9 Posted February 9 On balance more positives than negatives - aside from the result. I thought Buckley had one of his better matches ,- but the stars were undoubtedly our new players - with Dennis and Kargbo looking threatening throughout. All we need now is JE to stay 🤔 4 Quote
islander200 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 (edited) Wonder if its Benson picking the goalkeeper signings Toth looks Whalstedt level Edited February 9 by islander200 4 Quote
neophox Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Think Ribeiro and Kargbo looked like they gave a shit... the others you can clearly discuss...Gueye good when he came on. Quote
Paul Mellelieu Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Wolves did has much as they needed to do and were gifted their advantage by a poor official and and poor goalkeeper. 1 Quote
Bethnal Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Well, positives - Ribeiro looks very tidy and I’d be more than happy with him starting. Kargbo looks like he has a thing we don’t currently have, which is pace and a desire to travel with the ball. Dennis has visible quality but looks a long way short of full fitness. Hopefully he can apply himself and get up to speed. Finally, at least we don’t have to go home to such a godforsaken place as Wolverhampton, which is - along with Coventry - just one of the most pointless places I’ve ever had the misfortune to visit. Negatives are obvious, but not least how thoroughly ineffectual the “cavalry” were when coming on, aside from Gueye. Hedges a never-man, Dolan a bundle of wasted potential. Woodrow looked game but played out of position. Weimann an earnest professional but really should be a bit-part player in a team looking by for top 6. Post-match from Eustace is now appointment viewing, but we’ll not learn anything until the deal is confirmed tomorrow. Pasha and Waggott looking all too comfortable in the JW Upper. I don’t understand how they’re not covered in Bovril, beer or meat pie up there. 4 Quote
rovers11 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 One big positive from that game: Kargbo looks good. 4 Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted February 9 Posted February 9 The thing that makes your blood boil is that imagine if this was happening to one of the media darlings. "How could Manager X leave Team Y for Team Z? That's unheard of. What is going on with the owners? This needs to be addressed". For Rovers it's just "Well he hasn't been backed like he thought he might have been (audible shrug)". I hate football and football fans and their lack of concern for others - cretins from a place like Wolves singing "you've seen the Wolves, now fuck off home / Blackburn's a shithole, I want to go home" sums it up. 3 Quote
den Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Could have been 5 or 6. We were a disorganised mess second half. First half was decent but it became embarrassingly awful. 2 Quote
Blackpool_Rover Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Flew over for the game. What a depressing atmosphere. Awful day and now back to the airport. Kargbo and Dennis very promising. Gueye did ok too. If this is the end for Eustace then we are in serious trouble. Quote
Scoobydo Posted February 9 Posted February 9 We’ll be pretty decent when Ohashi, Tronstad, etc… are all fully fit. The three new signings that started will definitely offer something. 1 Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Not for the first time recently, didnt like our substitutions at all today. I thought we were building up a bit of a head of steam around the 56th or 57th minute and were having a decent spell. Cantwell was putting more effort in than in the first half and ACD was looking very dangerous. However Eustace pulled them both off in what looked a predetermined move not based on how the match was actually going and with it went all momentum. Did Woodrow ever actually come on? The second two substitutions weakened us still further and the rest of the game after that was a procession. I dont mind Dolan but he looked well out of his depth against Premier League opponents. Overall it was a real eye opener how much bigger, stronger and quicker than us they looked. Physically it was men against boys or older men. Very disappointing but pales into insignificance next to the managerial situation. 3 Quote
Ferrit Posted February 9 Posted February 9 (edited) Could've been a different game if we hadn't been dicked out of a goal, which was a shocking decision. Probably for the best anyway, our squad is paper thin, less games the better. On the positive side, new signings looked good. Should do some damage in the league. Edited February 9 by Ferrit 3 Quote
had.e.nuff Posted February 9 Posted February 9 a bad off side call a hapless keeper and a mad 1minute apart some good things with new signings, we don't have the squad for a cup run,it will be interesting how he fits them in now 1 Quote
