I was amazed to find out Gestede never had a football agent who he wasn't related to.

Steve Cooper is probably the best fit given how he managed to drag Forest from relegation zone to achieving promotion a few years ago. His style is kinda similar to Eustace in that he likes his team to sit in a mid/low block and hit opponents on the counter. Will he be interested in coming here? No idea. Will we be offering him a contract? Not likely since he'll probably demand high wages.

But yeah, in an ideal situation the club should move to get him on a short-term contract until the end of season, offer a resonably high wage (100 K/ month?) and just pray that we manage to clinch the last playoff-spot and then somehow get promoted because next season is looking really dark right now if that doesn't happen.

give it big sam in pod cast he said he would openly speak to them again and had unfinished business - he can work with pennys instead of pounds - so thats perfect for maggot n co 

 

Rob edwards is another but dout he fits the club strategy if anyone knows what that is 

 

Damian duff will have to much respect to take the job knowing he will be thrown in deep end and wont want to risk failure

@LeftWinger has set out a cracker of a narrative and maybe we could be tempting the fate of a full-circle resolution doing so. Bit of black magic at play.

Another narrative might be some form of Retro Rovers Avengers: David Dunn, Damien Duff, Morten Gamst Peterson, Ryan Nelsen, Tugay, Salgado, Matt Jansen. Set each to a task of coaching each positional unit. Very likely a catastrophe, but a hell of a watch, probably.

If we were a normal club, I’d be all over Des Buckingham and his preferred coaching staff, but I think the scale of the job managing upwards is far too big for him. Needs more time managing in different circumstances, probably. Too much nous in the CEO/COO.

I think Rob Edwards needs a stretch out of the game. Managing Luton through the things they’ve had to deal with looked exhausting. Their squad and he looked broken when they were at Ewood. Reckon he’ll make a good manager eventually.

Allardyce - not anymore, for me. Looks happy in retirement.

Who then? Ideally someone with nous, little to lose when it comes to paying short shrift to the nonsense, can spot a player and get the best out of them, has experience in the playoffs and promotions and doesn’t mind coming into a club in February. Basically, Neil Warnock ten years ago.

Struggling to see how people think Cooper is below us. (Not this thread but on others and elsewhere online)

He has been manager for 3 seasons in the Championship and finished 6th Swansea, 4th Swansea and 4th and promoted with Forest. The bloke has never finished outside the playoffs in the league.

Has a 48% win percentage in the league.

Now, in terms of realism - there’s not a cat in hells chance he’d come to this clown show
