The hilarious irony of the likes of Rev and Chaddy wanting Allardyce.... Unbelievable.

EDIT: Sorry, Chaddy, perhaps you were commenting on Warnock further up.  Out of interest, would you take Allardyce? I think he may have blocked me anyway so he probably won't see this.

I was commenting on Warnock coming here on the short term.

on Allardyce, in the short term? yes.

Do I think either are likely? no chance

I'm not saying I want him particularly, but he'd certainly not be eaten alive by those two.

I feel he's quite outspoken.

I always saw him as someone who's a bit shy and Meek

He always came across like that as a player.

I have been following his managerial/coaching career though since he got into it and he certainly isn't any more, quite outspoken and doesn't suffer fools at all.

I think he would be pissed off within a month of being here under those idiots.

Really bloody odd to hear someone having a go at Damien Johnson but this is BRFCS.

I must be in a strange mood to engage with this, and despite many reoccurring “Rao induced” themes you post about on every subject and thread, you’re missing the fact football (again) is a business.

You put a club with a decent squad (sorry but there’s more opinions than just here) 6th in the league, open to a new manager. Taking someone from another club aside, it would take some mental gymnastics not to see this as a better proposition than the previous times we’ve stuck up the VACANCY board.

There is very little to lose for any of those out of work managers who could take over a well organised and well drilled John Eustace team.

Mid table mediocracy as probably worst outcome is likely more enticing than you’d ever expect. Whilst I don’t think Waggott could find his arse in a fog, I’m yet to fall down the “Gestede is a schill” rabbit hole many here are.

Johnson isn't even third in command, is never seen on matchday and clearly had little role to play in Eustace or JDT's set ups.

Once again the old story of ex player and nice bloke so logically should be considered a viable option to run this freak show of an operation.

I fully agree that there will be decent names interested in picking up this job for the rest of the season and having a free hit at the play-offs.

Unfortunately we've got a pit of vipers at board level who clearly have no interest or remit to take the club forward, a CEO who thinks big investment is signing 5 loans and short term signings and all sorts of other hidden interests in play.

Combine those things and you could have Pep Guardiola interested and they'd pick a cheaper easier option. Remember like when they had the option of getting Daniel Farke, but turned their noses up at him because he wanted his own coaching staff and wouldn't work with the immovable group at Brockhall? Or when we had Warnock ready to come in after Lambert then turned him down because Coyle offered to do it for less?

These are the factors that matter - who is interested in the job is almost irrelevant - it is how much they cost and how desperate they are that Venkys and Waggott like.

This.

I liked a post match interview on social media that he did once so they always appear on my feed now. He says it like it is.

Think Gary O'Neill would be arguably the best all round choice.

Russel Martin would be the worst IMO... I absolutely hate his philosophy and would be an awful fit for a club like ours.

What's the hype around O'Neil? Wolves were an absolute mess by the end of his reign.

30% (or less) win rate at both Wolves and Bournemouth, they don't tell the whole story admittedly but he seems like a dreadful choice?

Quite the opposite - he's extremely outspoken in the League of Ireland and has gone in on the FAI multiple times.

That's the exact reason he'd not come here, wouldn't work under the mugs in charge.

Edit: just to add after reading replies - I agree he did seem shy as a player, very different persona as a manager currently.

I will be amazed if Rob Edwards isn't first choice.

Out of work

Relatively cheap

Desperate go get back in after a horror half season with Luton

Promotion on his CV

Seems to tick all the venkys/waggott boxes.

He's favourite according to an online betting site.

These are mythical odds some random website has posted, as far as I'm aware I've not seen the market offered anywhere.

Added to the fact, that list of names alone represents 233% overound i.e. some muppet has just pulled together a random list of numbers.

Yeah the market will only open up when Eustace is confirmed at Derby

Yeah, you're right. I can't see any links to any bookies offering these odds.

I think they are AI generated odds.

Gives an idea of the names that may be in the frame though.

I bet JDT wasn't even mentioned when the odds first came out before he was appointed.

I think there was barely a market for Eustace as he was appointed so quickly.

There isn't a market yer, like someone else said above that will just be AI generated

You can as far as I can see. I don't think Betano are a high profile bookies though.
