New manager wishlist

Not an itk, just heard murmurings.

Apparently we've had a Canadian round Brockhall recently.  Not got the guys name sorry but do vaguely recognise him.  Apparently he only does couple of months on a job and then moves onto the next one.  The ace venturer wants to try his hand over here.  Not sure if he can handle dumb and dumber down Ewood but that'll wait and see.  But bruce almighty, if he is the new manager I think we will struggle.

Fully agree. We are looking for the best man to come in NOW and deliver over 16 games or whatever we've got left now.

Not the summer.

Not a 'style of play'

Not 'working with young players'

Not 'building for the future'

Or any of the other claptrap and soundbites that people often come out with which are totally out of the question at this operation, unwilling or unable to even offer improved deals to its few quality proven players beyond this/next summer.

I'm already annoyed that we're going to West Brom without a manager - we should have had someone in immediately. We've tossed off January due to a dismal and negligent approach to transfers and now are risking tossing off two more games this week whilst we pretend to conduct a managerial search.

This summer is going to be a disaster, everyone knows it, the club are actively preparing for it by running everyone's contracts down and not signing anyone for the long term.

Is it really too much to ask to throw the Eustace compo to Warnock or Allardyce and offer them a couple of million bonus if they somehow get us up?

At the very least it would be entertaining even if it ended in failure.

Yes and well said. It is definitely all about the next three months. Nothing else matters.

And with that in mind we need to turn a negative into a positive. Some bland no mark like Lowe, or Harris, or Grayson, simply won't do for 15 games.

More qualified managers would be acceptable if looking further ahead. But we are not. Therefore we need to make a statement or do / try something left field. Absolutely nothing to lose.

Warnock or Allardyce would frighten the shit out of every other rival and show we mean business. The key thing is to unite the group which both would do. Like someone else has said its a total no brainer but completely wishful thinking.

The players have given their all. We need to give them a lift. Bring in some cheap, crap option on the managerial gravy train and this season will end with a whimper immediately.

Yeah, I’m not saying he’s anything special but my overriding feeling is that he was getting a lot out of the Millwall squad and I couldn’t understand him leaving, wasn’t there a disagreement?

He called their fans thickos! Kind of made it untenable after that...

Finishes of 21st and 8th in the Championship. The one from there that would've been a sensible appointment is Rowett but we're 6 weeks late.

What does it matter why he ain't coming. Full stop. I read somewhere that Cooper is still being paid by Leicester so no way are we paying compo for him

I have no idea what Elliott has said.

What your shortlist and who is first choice from it?

Ive no idea who I would go for. Lets be honest, its all a bit depressing. All the names mentioned are downgrades and especially considering the upheavel, we wont be getting into the play offs and the club is in a mess.

You said we needed a goalscorer to get into the play offs and that was working on the assumption that Eustace stayed. Now we have neither.

Its going to be understandably toxic at Ewood on Saturday.

I can just see it now.

Allardyce takes over, we get promoted, Venkys sell up, we are back where we started 15 years ago.

This was the first post I read in this thread today so I’m ignoring everything else and just accepting this as reality and going to bed. Night lads
