At Boro Karanka walked out , was unhappy the club had signed Jordan Rhodes. He wanted Ross McCormick(Allegedly), and Boro had to persuade him to come back

At Forest he also fell out with the board over transfers

Added to his very poor recent record it would be a very poor decision to bring him here

For those reasons above is why I don't think Karanka will make the cut into the final interview stage

Talksport latest odds. O Neil on the drift, Lowe coming in substantially.

O Neil 2/1

Ismael 4/1

Karanka 5/1

Lowe 5/1

Boateng 8/1

Lijnders 10/1

ONeil apart, the state of it.

That's based purely on the Nixon story and a few Nickoteens placing a fiver on these names.

I know I've banged on about this for years and a few people have obviously took notice now as they've mentioned it, a market as small as this is influenced by a few quid here and there. Nobody outside of rovers fans give a shite about our manager.

My only surprise is Duff hasn't steamed in a bit on the odds.

Two things worth pointing out.

1. the bookies list isn't any one of the various Gestede/Waggott/Pune puppet lists (yes lists- they don't agree on anything between themselves)

2. Warnock regards the Rovers set-up with utter disgust and distrust after he had accepted the job at Ewood, the guy he was dealing with went on holiday and Coyle was appointed

Just how poor of a selection have this board really made its shocking and again worrying the lack of football knowledge or looking at a big picture - if its data driven then they are looking at losing stats over winning stats with Ishmal and Krank jesus christ

Cooper

Edin Terzic

Steven Gerrard

Edwards

whick

all 5better canidiates than whats favourite - some might say no to gerrard but the lad will want to prove a point did well at rangers with right guidance - can attract players - good connections also - lampard proving lot of people wrong & proving he cn work with out massive amounts f money like he had at derby ect - i do think Gerrard would bring on travis dolan even more and the academy again.

Come on WAGGOT PASHA &  GESTEDE im not pro licence qualified  on coachingl but can see a picture and a clear on at that.

STOP GOING FOR FREINDS  this is about the club and next seasons ticket sales and players renewing contracts if you can be arsed to do so

That would be the worst option for me. It’s one thing having a few wins when the players have lifted themselves. It’s another seeing it through to the end of the season and navigating the play offs. But it’s also the cheapest option so it’s safe to say it’s something these clowns will be considering.

Total despair.

If interviews have already taken place and there are now 'second round' interviews then 6 is not a short list!!!

As I've already posted, as have others, I think the recruitment process is one total dysfunctional mess.  The club have seemingly known about the Eustace issues for weeks - the homework and contingency planning should have already been done and there should have been 3 clear targets plus any unforeseen quality candidate who made it known he wanted the job (though given how Rovers are likely to be perceived in the football world unlikely to be any unforeseen quality candidate(s)).  Smart and sharp executive management would have had a replacement appointed by the Plymouth game.

Win or draw on Saturday and it would be no surprise to see Lowe appointed until the end of the season and I would suspect we would then fall away (coaching and managing a team for some 15 matches is totally different than holding the fort for a couple of games) and we would be back to square one at the season end with any semblance of planning for next season (contract renewals, player trading etc) totally buggered.

What a total and abysmal mess.

Another point of view is that a temporary appointment to the end of the season  would suit us better. Suppose we get promoted?

I’d imagine the Nixon story is based on Waggott’s list.

Hopefully one of the other two lists is better (could well be worse though! 😬)

So there’s 3 separate lists, one of which has been drawn up by football experts in Pune Towers? Closer to home, the COO and CEO have their own separate managerial preferences, yet are conducting joint interviews? Maybe they will intentionally ask unanswerable questions of each other’s preferred candidates in order to scupper their chances?

It’s a conspiracy theorists dream scenario!

How many interview stages are there? Surely anyone of any calibre isn't jumping through hoops to work for this regime? Surely we're only attracting those desperate for a job and grateful for the opportunity to work under waggot.

It's a test to see how they cope with being messed about from window to window.

Same feeling here, with no permanent manager in sight, we will lose half the squad by season end.

Totally understandable, but he's an addict, and I still feel he wouldn't be able to resist the temptation, given our league position and the opportunity of a glorious finale.

We won't go for him because it makes too much sense.

It's honestly mental, absolutely no plan.

Everyone always says it's the owners.

I think Pasha and Waggott are absolute clowns who don't have a fucking clue

You sound surprised? Had you forgotten Venky's own us?

It happens, they've not been about for a bit.....

In my mind all three processes are taking place separately and we end up with three head coaches (or maybe one of the three will be a manager) 😁😁

Well he was right about Rhodes.  He did nothing at Boro.

Aye, really hoping for a surprise appointment of someone not on that list now. Much like the run up and surprise appointment of JDT

All of this talk about lists and interviews - it's probably bollocks

I'm sitting in the 'Keep Calm & Carry On" camp here. 2 wins from 2. A winnable game on Saturday. For me, one game at a time, regardless of the manager / head coach. It is all that is important right now

The absolute worst case here is we rush into making a manager because we feel we have to, only to derail a play off push by that appointment coming in and instilling a philosophy that is not suited to the players

… with all 3 announced at the same press conference, which then turns into a mass brawl as ‘last man standing’ is crowned new Head Coach.
