Also seen that Siggy has come out criticising the club since he has joined Malmo (according to a post on Yahoo Sports)... Negative media surrounding us left, right and centre ... No one is going to want to work with us 🤣

Arnor Sigurdsson's anger at 'dishonest' Blackburn Rovers in unseen interview - Yahoo Sport

He never played.

Is it the guy in the ill fitting grey jumper who looks a bit like Rick Edwards? Next to Carsley? Because in that case, you must have low standards of attractiveness.

I think the lad in the ill-fitting grey jumper is Edwards. I think Wicky is the one in the gilet.

Could be wrong though.

Fwiw - I wouldn’t be surprised if the new manager is completely left field

Do you mean Duff ? 😉

I'm encouraged by Jackson's remark that  "Several of the candidates have not made it out into the public domain", (although taken literally that means they cannot be trusted to go out on their own 🙂 )

That gives me hope, at least.

Saying some candidates haven't made it out into the public domain and Karanka is set to go to a 2nd interview.

Really hope it isn't Karanka.

If it isn't any of the obvious ones discussed then I'd just prefer a left field European punt similar to JDT.

That's based purely on the Nixon story and a few Nickoteens placing a fiver on these names.

I know I've banged on about this for years and a few people have obviously took notice now as they've mentioned it, a market as small as this is influenced by a few quid here and there. Nobody outside of rovers fans give a shite about our manager.

My only surprise is Duff hasn't steamed in a bit on the odds.

I know all that, I pointed it out when Carsley went 1/2 right at the beginning.

I do think the general standard of those listed in the betting is an indication of the calibre we can expect though.

Id be really surprised if we pulled out a Sean Dyche out of thin air when the indications are we've spoken to the likes of Boateng, Wellens, Boa Morte, Karanka, Lijnders etc etc.

Agreed.

Why on earth has he made it to 2nd interview?

CVs, two interviews? What is thia? a graduate assessment centre? We should be selling the club to the best managers available out there not have the most desperate sell themselves to us.

Agreed, all the process will achieve is to alienate the better, more high calibre candidates.

Exactly!

Different times I know but can you imagine Jack saying to Kenny "You'll have to go through a couple of rounds of interviews with the likes of Peter Reid and Bryan Robson first!

100%

As I said earlier, it's like we're trying to hire a shelf stacker for Tesco.

Total despair.

If interviews have already taken place and there are now 'second round' interviews then 6 is not a short list!!!

As I've already posted, as have others, I think the recruitment process is one total dysfunctional mess.  The club have seemingly known about the Eustace issues for weeks - the homework and contingency planning should have already been done and there should have been 3 clear targets plus any unforeseen quality candidate who made it known he wanted the job (though given how Rovers are likely to be perceived in the football world unlikely to be any unforeseen quality candidate(s)).  Smart and sharp executive management would have had a replacement appointed by the Plymouth game.

Win or draw on Saturday and it would be no surprise to see Lowe appointed until the end of the season and I would suspect we would then fall away (coaching and managing a team for some 15 matches is totally different than holding the fort for a couple of games) and we would be back to square one at the season end with any semblance of planning for next season (contract renewals, player trading etc) totally buggered.

What a total and abysmal mess.

Also reported that Pasha / Swag heading to London for second stage interviews after initial round conducted on Zoom. Why, they are candidates for the role of Head Coach / Manager, Blackburn Rovers so why on earth are they not making the journey up to Ewood / Brockhall !

Probably because Pasha and Swag spend most of their time in London.

Where is Jagdish Rao based? If he's based in London I'd guess that's the reason.
