New manager wishlist

If Nixon has any kind of credible story whatsoever about who our next manager would be he would be sharing the news now, not hanging fire for 24 hours.

Will just be more guff.

His entire career has been about 'exclusives' revealed in the Sunday morning columns. Everything he does is geared around that. There might not be any news or developments but he makes his living keeping people hanging until Sunday then clicking on his page or buying his newspaper to find out what 'news' he has to reveal.

Inevitably this usually consists of transfer gossip but he'll be rubbing his hands with an unexpected and now drawn out managerial search to keep people asking him questions on.

If there was any doubt, the last week or so has shown that Nixon knows bugger all.

He's clearly got an in with Waggott (or someone close to Waggott) as he's been the establishment's mouthpiece for the last few weeks. They're obviously not currently providing him with any updates though.

I sort of expected this. Any annoyance at Eustace wearing off, full week of training under Lowe making it feel more like the norm.

The silver cloud if we get stuffed today is hopefully it will put an end once and for all to any silly talk of Lowe getting the job.

The situation is STILL taylor made for Warnock.

Other than that I hope Gerrard or O Neil get it.

I was desperate to get a manager in before today's game. Any decent connected owner would have been too, but the happy clappers weren't ....... must be waiting till deadline day "when they're cheaper".

Every match is absolutely vital and any decent board would have realised the situation, capitalised and done everything to keep the confidence going with an ambitious appointment last week.

When will people wake up?

Honeymoon period definitively over, as well as any idea these players can self-motivate themselves for the remaining matches. A new manager in asap is essential if there is any ambition for us to get top six (I have my doubts on this as ambition and Venky's don't go together without 'no' in the sentence somewhere).

David Lowe - has done well as interim head coach with two wins on the bounce. Lacks experience and not convinced he has what it takes from a man-management perspective or how to change his tactical approach when results go against him.

Well, I hope people realise by now that David Lowe is not the right guy for head coach. By the looks of it, he seems to wanting to emulate Eustace in terms of both tactics and starting XI but it´s telling that he has no clue in changing his approach when trailing by a goal or two. I firmly believe he managed to win the first two matches simply because the team scored the first goal and they could stick with the same tactics and setup throughout 90 minutes. Today he was tested and couldn't muster a response from the side.

Just really tiresome of seeing the same players on the pitch underperforming game after game (Hedges, Dolan, Weimann). Putting in one good performance every four or five matches is not good enough at this level.

At least the pressure is back on for the board to make a decision ahead of the Norwich game. They now know full well that hiring Lowe as HC isn't going to sit nicely with the supporters.

Id imagine management were desperately hoping we'd win today then they could have given it Lowe until the end of the season as by far the cheapest and easiest option following which we could drift tamely out of the picture.

Giving it Lowe now would look too much like an act of sabotage even for them so after 2 weeks, let's see how far along we actually are with the search. My guess would be not very.

Someone inspiring with a fresh eye and one or two new ideas needed.

I bet Waghail are cacking it at the prospect if they bring someone new in they'll get us over the line.

Need a new head coach appointment early next week. Over to the Rovers club management to deliver.

Thanks for Lowe and the staff plus the players for the last 2 wins before Swansea game.

Its going to be interesting who they go for.

You are a naive eternal optimist.

I think our club is a complete shambles run by an incompetent executive management, the likes of which I have rarely come across and I've seen some dross!  Can you not see this?
