Very true , I wonder if Lowe has told them that he doesn't want the job now , cos I think their plan was to keep Lowe in situ , until the end of the season .

Last season , Eustace was appointed very quickly but there was jeopardy then .

This is what worries me, his initial impact usually seems to be quite positive - at WBA they went unbeaten in 10 winning 6 - but then things started to unravel quite quickly and when you consider they were fresh out of the Premier League with a pretty strong squad for this level the form they were displaying in the last 2-3 months under him was pretty terrible.

Having read that report in the Watford Observer it seems other than a purple patch in the middle it was pretty poor throughout. 

I would take win 6 draw 4 in our next 10...

Cantwell's problem is he is Todd Catnwell.

If he was Tim Coldwell signed from the lower leagues then he would be an good option to come in and out of the team.

Because he's on big money and arrived with a reputation he is just a letdown.

Two thirds of the clubs in the Championship have recruited a manager in the last 11 months (all but one being within the last 8 months).

Thats a lot of jobs they’ve not been considered the best option for (although of course they may not have been interested in all of them).

In football terms, yes it is.

I’ve not seen their names linked with many other positions.

We all want the same thing, for Rovers to do well, but the whole point of a message board is to express opinions.

If either of those two get the job, I will give them a fair chance.

We all know the real problems are further up the food chain.

Both Ismael and Wagner have playoff place on their CV plus Wagner has a promotion from this league on his CV, and kept them up in the PL on their first season.

If having a play off place or promotion from this league on your cv is key criteria then we perhaps should give Coyle the gig again as he lives less than 10 minutes from Brockhall and would do the job for less than £600k!

Reading the latest LT article, I didn't realise Ismail had WBA in 5th spot when they sacked him. I suppose they expected to be higher than that though having just come back down from the premier league. Did they replace him with Steve Bruce?

The obvious concern is that he doesn't stick around long at any club, and it probably won't be long before he falls out with someone above him, so we'll probably have a another new manager / head coach thread by Christmas 😂.

I wouldn’t have wanted him here.

I just find it depressing that after such a convoluted process, the best we can come up with is a couple of fading stars.

I would rather we go for a left field appointment, or someone up and coming.

My overall preference was a wise, senior figure, who has been there and done it, to take us through the rest of the season.

There will be two very different scenarios at that stage, so a permanent appointment could be made accordingly.
