Of course he does. There is no loyalty in football but Bruce is definitely the least loyal of them all. How many times has he bailed on a club now?

That aside, I'd take him over Ryan Lowe 😂

he will look at the situation and think,15 games to go,6 th place,we could sneak into the play offs and with luck (a lot of it) win them,on a short term deal till the end of the season,it`s a win win situation for him, would persaude maggot easily,as he`s got loads of championship experience and would`nt cost a great deal to prise him from blackpool, respect to blackpool, but rovers, even in it`s basket case existance are a bigger club

I’d rather slice my balls and pour vinegar on them than have Bruce as are manager,

and something similar to ainsworth and rooney

You care far more about this football club than I do.

They could unveil Joey Barton tomorrow and I wouldn't bat an eyelid.

Would be over the moon for big Sam to come back, even for a short spell. Can’t see it myself and not sure he would. If Rovers could be run right then we’d be  looking for the next young manager, I’d love to have Duff here. Connection with the club and has had some success. Expecting Johnson in charge tomorrow. Armstrong brace and Mowbray to be smiling at the end..

all the rumours, conjecture and connections,it is irrelevant who our next manager is,he won`t succeed because he won`t be allowed to,im`e expecting some underwhelming appointment,a manager who is content just to be mid table or survive the drop, after appointing two ambitious coaches, swag won`t be keen on another one

Johnson and that idiot Lowe until the end of the season, with a clause in their new roles to allow both to be binned off at the end of the season as they just about keep us up.

After the recent incoming players being all short term, I fear the club would struggle to offer more than an 18 month contract to a new manager There will be very little security in it for whoever comes in, who will also surely realise the impending squad problems. I think even then likes of Edwards could just pass on this ‘opportunity’.

As I mentioned last night I think we're talking about two entirely separate things going forward.

Short term for 15 or 18 games the gig (thanks to Eustace) is a very attractive proposition with no real downside.

Longer term with no investment and no players the post is a dog with fleas.

We need to push the boat out and be as ambitious as possible and make a quick appointment and get the best person available until the end of the season.

If we dont do that and dither and/or make a "meh" appointment it will say all you need to know about our ambition.

Having failed to back Eustace and then been totally unwilling to meet his concerns even half way I know what sort of appointment Im expecting.

be aware that there is a whisper that steve bruce fancies the job

Where is this coming from?

If this is from me calling Suhail pretending to be Steve Bruce's agent...then it's funny and concerning in equal measure.

On the topic of Steve Bruce, has anyone read his football novels? Absolute sensational drivel.

The audiobook of "Striker" is available online somewhere for free. Well worth a listen in the car. Potentially the most ridiculous thing you'll ever hear 😂

Shurely not even in Venkys/Waggott/Pasha world?

Bruce hasnt pulled up any trees at at Blackpool although of course he's had the desperately tragic death of his grand daughter to contend with.

Any hard nut will do  for the rest of the season. The beatings will continue until we get promoted with 13 out of contract.

Sammie is quoted as saying that JDT was better on strategy and Eustace on man management. Both useless strategies for this moment.

A good seasoned no no sense get it done tough git is needed to stop everyone wondering where their next gig will be next season and get us in the play offs

Warnock will do nicely 😉

I had no idea about these i'll be on Goodreads tonight 😂

In other news if he doesn't win tonight with Blackpool he'll set a club record for home games without victory, Waggott probably left him 50 voicemails already

Rooney,Gerrard,Bruce,Page, fingers and toes crossed it’s none of these names……a deal till the end of season also being touted. Do we really want to be looking for a new manager and 50% of squad players at the same time

it`s such a circus at ewood i actually feel sorry for any manager who takes the job

Eustace's position at Rovers in now untenable should his Derby move stall (though highly, highly unlikely).

Therefore staggered Rovers have made no announcement as to who will take the team tomorrow night unless it's the new Head Coach!

Just further underlines, IMO, how incompetent and shambolic we are.

Fully agree. We are looking for the best man to come in NOW and deliver over 16 games or whatever we've got left now.

Not the summer.

Not a 'style of play'

Not 'working with young players'

Not 'building for the future'

Or any of the other claptrap and soundbites that people often come out with which are totally out of the question at this operation, unwilling or unable to even offer improved deals to its few quality proven players beyond this/next summer.

I'm already annoyed that we're going to West Brom without a manager - we should have had someone in immediately. We've tossed off January due to a dismal and negligent approach to transfers and now are risking tossing off two more games this week whilst we pretend to conduct a managerial search.

This summer is going to be a disaster, everyone knows it, the club are actively preparing for it by running everyone's contracts down and not signing anyone for the long term.

Is it really too much to ask to throw the Eustace compo to Warnock or Allardyce and offer them a couple of million bonus if they somehow get us up?

At the very least it would be entertaining even if it ended in failure.
