You are lying in a hospital bed and the surgeon who can save your life is a 'Dingle' whose idiosyncrasy is to wear claret and blue scrub caps.

Would you allow this Dingle to save your life or would you choose to die?

Imagine the extra dexterity, he'd get it done 20% faster

Chaddy would probably ask for his birth place his club he supports while the surgeon is desperately trying to operate on him

I feel very flat about all of it. I was planning to go to five of our remaining six away games to try and back us into the playoffs but I now think that will be a massive waste of time and money, not sure I should bother. Already got my Derby ticket but we know how that's going to go

I am going to Derby too , this game is the perfect opportunity to turn the tables on Waggott and Pasha that is if they go..

They are getting away with it , time it stopped !

I think most of us with long history know, a long streak without a win and then Rovers come to town ! Add in Eustace and that Ryan Nyambe has never scored a goal and join the dots………..

But to be clear - whatever happens this season, either of the two “leading candidates” for the job will see us slide down the table.

I don't want either of them, certainly not Ismael. However with half the squad out of contract and us currently seemingly unable to function any spend or commitment on players, we are going to slide down the table regardless of whoever we get. Eustace knew this.

The question is just how quick will the slide be?

Before being appointed by Leeds, it does make me wonder if Farke would have been seen as a busted flush, had he been on the list.

Absolutely not.

There was talk of him at the beginning of the process to replace Mowbray, and the reaction was almost universally positive.

Farke had one previous job in England in which he'd done very well.

The club have really messed this up.

For the first time in a decade the club is finally in a position to make a real attempt at getting promoted out of this division.

Eustace leaving for Derby was a comical blow to the clubs hierarchy. January was the their first opportunity and they failed spectacularly signing cast offs from relegation threatened teams, unfit "marquee" signings and loans for players that don't get a look in at League One level.

Despite this, somehow we still sit in a play off place. 2 wins on the bounce probably had these clowns drooling at the prospect of saving huge money by appointing Lowe but a spectacularly poor showing away at Swansea put an end to that.

Instead of going all out and getting the best manager available (or unavailable, further lack of ambition highlighted that they won't move for a manager in work), they're bringing in a cheap, incredibly underwhelming appointment which could very well end our play off hopes but also, is highly unlikely to bring about a serious swing in season ticket sales in the summer.

They had a chance to really go for it, get Cooper in on a short term deal and see where we go.

Maybe the players thought Lowe was near to being appointed as well. That would explain the no-show on Saturday.

An awful lot of mystic megs on the forum atm.

Not saying he would have been my choice but at least I'm prepared to see how it goes, unlike some others.

He has an almost 50% win ratio over 350 games, better than Eustace, JDT, Mowbray.

If it's him give him a chance ffs

Yeah this board has a very poor record on predicting how managers will turn out so the only really sensible thing is to see how it goes.

I mean the general consensus was we were going down this season under Eustace and here we are.

Edit - on the other hand no reason not to protest the owners and waggott - they need to go and are awful. But just saying it wouldn't be that surprising if Ishamel came in and did well against expectations.

A bit of common sense. Whoever they choose may be shit, may be ok, may be amazing. Time will tell.

I think the grief Eustace initially got was more to do with the fact he was seen as a Waggott appointment.

I can only speak for myself, but that news pleasantly surprised me, and it felt like a good fit.

All I can say is , you have to go with what your heart and head tell you.

I felt like this when Ince and Coyle were appointed, and when Lancashire Cricket appointed Dale Benkenstein, (maybe google it), and my worst fears were realised on all three occasions.

I will definitely give him every chance to prove me wrong, and sincerely hope that he does.

Having reflected a bit more on it I have some limited and vague hope that Ismael might perhaps be able to get a positive reaction out of the players between now and May to get us into the top 6. He comes across to me as a bit of a motivator.

I am saying that purely based on the fact that he had an initial positive reaction at Barnsley, coming in mid-season and leading them up the table, and his initial time at WBA and Watford appears to have been ok, it was after his first 20 games that things unravelled quite quickly, perhaps once the players got fed up of him.

If he can do the business over the next 12 games that is the main thing.

I am not confident at all of what happens beyond that but then again the club are ensuring that we could go for Guardiola and he'd struggle with half the squad out the door and no commitments or ideas on budgets.

Has anyone said they wont give him a chance?

Being underwhelmed/disappointed by a potential appointment doesnt mean people wont give him a chance.

Win ratio isnt a fool proof way of looking at a managers record because it depends on each individual situation.

Maybe the Karanka link was planted to make us feel happier with Ismael? In which case maybe Ismael is a fabricated link to make us content with Wagner? We are so gaslit right now that anything is possible.

Has anyone apart from Nixon said it's between Ismael and Wagner? Everything I've read seems to just stem from his story. Since Park left he isn't getting the tit bits he was.

I wouldn't rule out another twist in this yet.....

If the twist is that they still haven't appointed somebody by the weekend, I wouldn't rule it out either.

FFS this again.

It's a Messageboard. You're allowed to give opinions. As with practically everyone who comes to Ewood he will get supported.

Besides, that win ratio is boosted by including the reserve teams at Hannover (49 games) and Wolfsburg (85 games) who play in the equivalent of the 4th tier, with Wolfsburg II always being dominant at that level. When he stepped up after those stints to mange at a higher lever he failed (Wolfsburg & Nurenberg).

He definitely was successful at LASK and Barnsley but seen as a failure in his last two jobs at West Brom and Watford. And there seems to be a running theme that both of their fans through the football was terrible.

Whoever we end up appointing, I will be asking myself why we have got them and Stoke, Coventry, Derby, West Brom et al did not appoint them, having all changed manager in the last couple of months. Whoever we get will surely have applied for those other jobs as well or been considered, but not picked. All those teams except Albion in a much worse position than us at the time.

Any reason why @kolmakovi21 is just firing out downvotes on any post that isn't thrilled by Ismael's potential appointment?

No posts and only downvotes, think this is a troll/spammer.

Stand by.
