Is this a rumour you've heard? 👀

Nope as it stands they're still keeping it incredibly close to their chests, OR doing fuck all about it 🤣 I've still only heard 1 concrete name which is Duff but don't think anything is happening there either. Its quite hard to believe Nixon is getting this exclusive information as nobody else I know is....

Has anyone said they wont give him a chance?

Being underwhelmed/disappointed by a potential appointment doesnt mean people wont give him a chance.

Win ratio isnt a fool proof way of looking at a managers record because it depends on each individual situation.

Agreed, pretty sure everyone would give him a chance if he gets the job.

We all want him (or whoever) to be a success.

In fairness that's fairly normal practice, fingers crossed there's a shortlist that expands further than the 2 Nixon has mentioned.

He'll be loving this, creating meltdowns and essentially controlling the (Very limited) betting market.....

Maybe the players thought Lowe was near to being appointed as well. That would explain the no-show on Saturday.

The no-show was because Hedges is downright awful, Dolan had one of his 9 in 10 games and Weimann's legs have gone. Obviously Pears throwing one in his own net broke our back.

Cretinously slow, even for a bunch of amateur cretins.

Feyenoord got Robin van Persie in just a few days, even though he was already successfully achieving in his role with Heerenveen.

And if they are only just conducting face to face contact, what the feck was all that hamshankery in London last week? Informal see you at the coffee shop for a chat? Bring your ID for verification? Get your jabs for working in the rat infested shithole formerly known as Ewood Park?

They think we are mugs.

I'm not - I'm the finest bone china tea-set I tell you 😉

My thoughts too, easy enough to back someone at large odds, write a story about them being a candidate and lay it off when the price shortens. Easy Money. Aye.

It just shows the press don't have a clue what's been happening then.

I thought we had been conducting interviews in London?

Presumably done via Teams from a computer in London then?

People get so defensive when it's suggested that writing people off before they've started is hasty. All of a sudden it becomes a free speech debate.

It's nothing to do with being accused of being hasty.

It's people saying that fans aren't going to "give him a chance" because they dare to voice an opinion that they think he isn't right.

It is possible to say "I really don't want him", but then give him a chance and support him once he starts.

I don't think masses actually gets out to the press from this club. I'd say unleaded on here comes up with way more accurate, earlier news than anybody in the press.

JDT and Eustace all came without many press reports. There is a decent chance it is nobody mentioned on here due to most info coming from that arsehole Nixon.

I'll give any manager a chance, my frustration is how slow it is due to what a good chance we have this season.

This is like all the transfer windows where all the business is done in the last 12 hours

Stand by for the new manager to be named just before the last game of the season in April

I don't think we sack managers full stop, who's the last one who has his contract terminated, coyle? What's that, eight years ago?

Good point. We keep going with them till their contract's up to save money. Or we come to an arrangement. We don't sack.

This is not a normal club.

They'll be keen to offload Cantwell this summer as I think he was only a late 'splurge' to keep Eustace quiet and the intention was always to get him back into the English shop window and sell again. Introducing a manager totally the opposite of his style will see to that.

I don't think Cantwell wants to be here anymore

In many ways this whole situation reminds me of my divorce.

The wife leaves me for a man I consider beneath me - despite constant claims of togetherness.

I then spend months trying it on with unattainable women, before settling for a 6'3" woman of North African origin who isn't the prettiest, but she gets the job done.

Has anyone apart from Nixon said it's between Ismael and Wagner? Everything I've read seems to just stem from his story. Since Park left he isn't getting the tit bits he was.

I wouldn't rule out another twist in this yet.....

would Elliott Jackson and Andy Bayes have the contacts that Alan Nixon?

You are lying in a hospital bed and the surgeon who can save your life is a 'Dingle' whose idiosyncrasy is to wear claret and blue scrub caps.

Would you allow this Dingle to save your life or would you choose to die?

A surgeon with six fingers?

This manager hunt Is frustrating but the time it is taking is similar to other clubs

West brom lost their manager 24th of December and didn't appoint a new one until the 18th of January

Coventry sacked Robins 7th of November and didn't appoint Lampard until the 28th of November

I wouldn't be taking it as a given that it will be either of the 2 names he has said, last week he was saying Karanka had a big chance
