Still don’t think give it Lowe, it’s one thing holding the fort with no expectation long term, as soon as there’s a extended period it’s a different matter

Agreed.

How many times do you see it when an interim manager gets the gig full time and fails?

He's taken the pressure off to get an appointment in quickly but we still need a proper appointment.

Duff has developed into a Mourinho type manager no doubt leanred from him at Chelsea.  He is feisty and creates a siege mentality in his team ''everybody hates us''.

Not sure if he is ready for the championship yet however.  You won;t know until you put him in the job.

However I do not see it ending well for this reason.  He doesn't suffer fools gladly.  He walked out of Ireland assistant job because of the FAI.  You can only imagine him under ace CEO Steve Waggott and the Chicken molesters. He'd walk.

Appreciate what Lowe is doing, the players are rilled up, we’re showing real “togetherness” 😉 but it’s nothing more than a honeymoon period and that’s it. We will have a tough patch at some point and a new voice will be needed. I just don’t see him being a manager, looks happy to be behind the scenes. I just hope it’s someone with abit about them. Otherwise I’m gonna be pissed 😂😂

Surprised at that, he was managing Shelbourne last night.

To be fair, the first round is apparently Skype-style interviews, so quite possible.

Apparently there's an application in from Eustace who says "I made  a mistake - please can I come back?".

I'm picturing Eustace turning up to take training on Monday morning like nothing has happened.

Anyone heard a rumour of Gerard being at the training ground yesterday?

Someone told me today he'd heard Gerrard was at the game today. It's one of those Chinese whispers sort of rumours so I'm taking it with a pinch of salt, but he's been told (who no doubt heard it off someone else - repeat ad infinitum) he's getting it.

I personally don't believe it one bit, everyone wants to be the ITKer who gets the scoop and I don't think we're close to an appointment yet. I'll be disappointed if it's true, he was alright for a while at Rangers until a very good Covid year (which produced lots of anomalies).

Sorry I should have said this isn’t to say he’s done fantastic in his 2 games - delighted for him, had stick at times including some uncalled for stuff about how he looks etc

Sure there will be a role for him still

It is possible but someone maybe putting 2 n 2 together with Kenny being there .

I would be surprised under this ownership , Gerrard would want a more stable club.

Would think he have been spotted if he was there. Unless he was in Rover the Dogs uniform.

If he was there the press would've picked up on it and there's be photos

Surely if any candidate had been there, the info would have posted on social media and the media would have the story

He was in a privste box, well away from the window, he followed the game on the tv in the box.

Surely there would've been a photo/video of him walking to the ground if that's true

I've seem people outside the jw players/directors entrance waiting for players etc, can't see him getting in the ground incognito

I'll be happy to be proved wrong though👍

I don't believe for a second that Gerrard was there today and nobody has spotted him or took a photo.

Nonsense.

I did say I didn't believe it, like you say I think there'd have been a photo.

As for betting being suspended @chaddyrovers, it's a notoriously temperamental market prone to fluctuations and spooks. Think they suspend it overnight too.

Despite our good form we need a proper gaffer. Lowe and co are doing a great job of keeping us ticking over but it's a different prospect when it isn't short term in nature.

The story is on the Derby County Fans Forum. Eustace said ‘“ he wanted to savour the atomosphere “ or words to that effect.

I think the same too - he's instantly recognisable. I think it's a rumour that has been passed around and probably exaggerated with each person.
