Most head coach bring their own number 2 and work with the rest of the staff there

Eustace managed to get two in.

Keeping the existing staff is one thing, but it’s surely better to let the new head coach choose any additions, rather than foisting people on him.

Been saying for days, I expect an foreign appointment. Most likely someone not linked to us yet

Nicko has said "Not sure about that", that Gary O'Neil wants to come here.

The LT was saying soon after Eustace’s departure that the club was looking at foreign coaches.

So the question for any potential candidate could be if they are willing to have Boateng as assistant with Gestede as DOF and the other coaches ”as is”.

That rules out pretty much any established manager that the salary and Vs reputation haven’t already scared off…

Over 150 applications would indicate that no one is being scared off by Venkys reputation. It's a pretty unique situation to have the chance to take over a club in the top six of the league at this stage of the season, and I would imagine plenty of top coaches/ managers would jump at the chance.

Personally not taking a bit of notice of the betting latest , as no one has a clue what the club is thinking.

I sent in 135 applications, who else on here applied 🙂

All this talk of a big name manager with a huge promotion bonus is rubbish, the owners don't give a shit. If we make the playoffs (which I am starting to think we might) it will be despite our owners and managerment team, not because of some genius package on their part.

Its clear that there was no succession plan for what was to happen post Eustace and the fact that he had shown his frustration publically for some time prior to leaving means there really ought to be.

So many alledged interviews suggests that they dont even know what they want.

I cant see past the likelihood of them just giving it to Lowe. They dont have a clue who to appoint so its easier for them just to let him carry on.

I would be against that, hes done very well in covering but the feeling of injustice that Eustace left has been raw. That will ease. But any decision needs to be made ASAP as there arent many games left.

There didn't seem to be a succession plan for Tony Mobray and we were the ones who let his contract run out.

What is wrong with interviewing potential candidates and find the right one?

Now we need to make a decision quickly.

We need the right decision.

The team has just win back to back wins. Its gives Gestede and Owen time to find the right head coach for us

they have take their time with a manager this time, maggot and pasha insisting on getting someone in  who is either truly garbage or just grateful to be in a job,in their view, jdt and eustace were a nightmare, they actually tried to be successful, thats not the rovers way in this era

If the agenda is to ensure that Rovers don't ''over achieve' and make the play-offs, then of course the odious Waggott and personality-defict Pasha will snap the hand off the first dolloper who expresses an interest.

Let all hell break loose if they do take that option.

Interviewing a large number of people suggests that they dont know who or what they want. Obviously the main thing is quality but it doesnt suggest that they anticipated what to do when Eustace was no longer here.

It does also matter though when the decision is made. We only have 13 games left and are in mid February so we need to make a decision soon. You like with transfers were asking for a decision to be made soon. Because you know that isnt likely you are changing to justify it.

And how do you know that the decision lies with Gestede and Owen?

If Nixon is to be believed, around 150 of them already have!

Give the managerial role to David Lowe until the end of the season, that would be the sensible decision….

As the feeling of injustice wears off, you are left with a coach above his pay grade steering you through such an important part of the season.

But its cheap and easy so I suspect it will happen.

What is the theory that they don’t want us to be promoted? As in, what would be their motivation for not being promoted?

Might seem that way now to some, but not if we lose a couple.

"it's yours until we lose one" might work. If he is exceptionally successful there'll come a natural cut off point after which the odd bad result shouldn't matter.

6 points from 2 games, keep that form up and we are going up automatically.

Suffering a little bit of attention deficit are we? Or just a wum? No one has come up with any reasonable 'theory ' to explain the bizarre way the club has been run by the Loons since they got snowballed took on the club, but if you are so lacking in awareness of what is going on at the Rovers based on the behaviour of those 'in charge' it is probably for the best if you remain ignorant in your cosy little world of bliss.

Now, move along there, and don't stop your happy clapping as you go 😞
