Johnson isn't even third in command, is never seen on matchday and clearly had little role to play in Eustace or JDT's set ups.

Once again the old story of ex player and nice bloke so logically should be considered a viable option to run this freak show of an operation.

Johnson's role is working with players individual and helping them develop and improve them.

Johnson would work with the defence structure pre game under JDT and under Eustace, His staff Gardiner and Downing ran the show this season and Johnson would work Travis and Tronstad pre game

I fully agree that there will be decent names interested in picking up this job for the rest of the season and having a free hit at the play-offs.

of course, we will have plenty of interested from people but I think they will look for an appointment that will fit into their model and work with little transfer say. Expect an foreign head coach or a coach who has never been first team head coach before.

Didnt Bullshit Nixon say the other day that Rovers had a "plan" that he would reveal once Eustace had gone?

Is he saying anything yet?

Nixon is waiting for things to settle down and finding out whether there is order to the list or just an open field

He's the only standout candidate for me but yep, it ain't happening.

Never happening. Cooper thinks he is PL manager and has big ego

If we aren't sounding out Cooper, Allardyce and Dyche before we approach anyone else, we are getting it wrong IMO.

If none of them are interested, we go to list two with the likes of Edwards, Duff, Buckingham, Challinor, O'Neil, Martin etc.

Eventually we get to list 38 with Kean, Coyle and Fritzl on it.

Honestly couldn't give a fuck.

That's me done now. I don't fucking care.

My feelings as well.... New guy comes in, has the same issues, hurriedly quits and we start all over again. Need to get rid of these Indian shysters and their lapdog Waggot

What's the hype around O'Neil? Wolves were an absolute mess by the end of his reign.

30% (or less) win rate at both Wolves and Bournemouth, they don't tell the whole story admittedly but he seems like a dreadful choice?

Fair point tbh... I think it's just based some good periods he's had in short managerial career but yeah, might be over hyped.

Michael Beale at 25/1 is a good shout. Out of work and generally seen to be useless. Will be desperate for a job and willing to toe the line accordingly.

I'd rather take Gerrard or Rooney if his name pops up

I'm ok with most on that list. Beggars can't be choosers and all that. BUT not Russell 'legend in his own mind' Martin. We'd be better off with the senior players managing themselves 😬

Whoever it is we have gone from "journeys" and "projects" to a different bloke every 12 months. Suhail and Steve are that repellent we'll be lucky to keep the new guy for 6 months.

Anyone that takes this job on after reading that club statement is a clown.

Our Board have literally told the incumbent manager, one who has us sat 6th in the league, to fuck off in an official press release.

A lot of managers aren't bothered about that, only look out for themselves.

There will be plenty that fancy it short term I think to have a 14 game shot at the play offs.

Summer is another huge problem on its own.

We would be better off with the U12s managing us

Yeh, though that press release was (I think) aimed to deflect any anger from the fans towards JE - the wording and tone was so unprofessional it reflected terribly on those that supposedly run the club. Anyone looking at the noise around JE leaving would seriously think twice about becoming the next manager. But at the end of the day, money talks, and there is an outside possibility of promotion via the play offs that would reflect well on any managers future ambitions.

Could say the same with Useless, sorry Eustace.

really? You really think any manager gives a toss about a statement about Eustace. no way.

This job is very appealing in the short term cos get us into the playoffs and its a success for them. Get us promotion, Rovers fans will adore him.

Looking at that list is horrific. Gary O'Neil, Ryan Lowe, Ian Evatt... Christ. They're not even fit to take the bins out at our historic football club, never mind become the first team manager. This is gonna be an awful end to the season when Waggott auctions the role off to whoever will do it for the lowest salary.

There's only two on there even remotely qualified, Cooper who looks like a Dingle and Dyche who IS a Dingle
