Moptop1 Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Doesn’t matter who is favourite for the job, the owners will go for the cheapest option. Not the best option. 8
Popular Post TheRevAshton Posted February 18 Popular Post Posted February 18 My number one choice would be Steve Cooper, but by many accounts he'd be way too expensive for us (if he even fancied the job in the first place, that is). So of the realistic options... A list for me would be Gary O'Neil, Rob Edwards or Steven Gerrard - in that order. B list for me would be Valerian Ismael, Raphael Wicky or Damien Duff - again, in that order. As a whole i'd be pleased with any of these, to some degree. 13

I'll do it, I'm crap/cheap (or so my wife says) and works well without a budget....what is a "budget" anyway, I thought it was a little bird.
Roverthechimp Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Anyone for joint managers? Michael Duff and Damien Duff ”Duff and Duffer” 😁 Cover the bus in fur and get Netflix involved on our journey to Aspen Wembley… Maybe we could get Jim Carrey to chuck us a few quid or make an appearance… 2

Gary ONeil, Raphael Wicky, Brian Priske, Edin Terzic B List. Duffer, Rob Edwards My overall choice would be Terzic but not sure how realistic that is, but Priske and Terzic certainly left field if that's the way the club want to go 1

Those guys are UCL level managers, doubt they'd take anything lower than a lower-mid PL Club. 1

Yes, he's managed in the Champions League but with smaller Belgian and Dutch clubs. Wicky nearly joined WBA so that could happen if the problem with his back room staff could be sortef 1

M_B Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Just a thought on O'Neil, I'd imagine he had no say at all in transfers at Wolves. 1

Bohinen1983 Posted February 18 Posted February 18 I wonder if we might have a go for Knutsen- Isn't he really well thought of in the game?

joey_big_nose Posted February 18 Posted February 18 O'Neil makes sense, but hes got pedigree and cut from similar cloth to Eustace. I reckon he will probably give Eustace a call to understand why he walked away and get the full inside view. Wouldnt be surprised if he just signed to the end of the season. Or given the weird situation he might decline it after talks. O'Neil will know he will get a decent Championship job eventually, he doesn't need to jump in now. 8
