Here’s hoping Duff is one of the  few mentioned in Nixons article who falls under the “ some are in work and keeping their interest secret.“ …

Would love Duff working with Lowe & Johnson ……

The xLiverpool coach hasn’t lasted 6 months in his last 2 jobs …He’s just a name with no substance & other One is dinosaur from Spain whos last job was in Israel

What's your connect saying mate?!

Duff is one of them.

I reckon Waggott would be the one pushing for Duff as well, he’d see it as a ‘get the fans onside’ appointment with the added hope of a little boost to crowds….

Rudy will have other ideas.

Fuck knows what Suhail will think, cheapest possible option I imagine.

I'd love to know why Karanka is even in the conversation.

I really hope Nixon has this wrong

Possibly cos he did Rudy a favour and signed him for Boro.

Says Karanka,Ismael and Ljinders in the frame

Some of the people we had an interest in ain't keen due to the wage offer

Quelle Surprise! (About the wage)

As a final shortlist of 3 could that actually be any worse?

Hope to god Nixon is completely wrong.

Ah, so another day is done, no manager appointed. 10 days since the Wolves game when news broke. No Time for a new manager to establish himself with two full days training before Swansea. Oh what a circus!

Unity and cohesion was needed to galvanise after Eustace's departure, get a new guy in efficiently and go again. That window is now passed.

Instead the club appears to be falling apart from the top down - will the rot hit the players by Saturday?

The lijnders link is interesting, didn't last long at either of his managerial clubs, but his win percentage is actually very good. So not sure what happened there

Quite ironically failure to win promotion led to his dismissal in Holland 😑

His win % at RB Salzburg is actually pretty poor given most managers there are at 60-70% and he was at 40 odd %.

40%+ in PL or Championship is very good but when managing RB Salzburg in Austria it is pretty poor.

Not sure about his spell in Holland....did he leave that to join up with Klopp at Liverpool?

A week's a long time in football, if there was any feeling of grievance against Eustace amongst the players that will be dissipating and after a week of training the temporary arrangements will feel more like the norm

Lowe will be doing REALLY well to make it 3 out of 3 on Saturday.

Loved Duff as player arguably the best we have ever produced but Apart from being an ex player is winning the league in Ireland really enough to qualify him being best man for job ?… Would Boro fans be excited by him

I'll keep on saying it because I believe it is the obvious and correct course of action but I really wish the clowns running the club would just pick up the phone to Warnock, offer him what he wants to take it until the summer, offer him £1 million bonus if he pulls it off and let him get on with it.

It is a total no brainer. It buys us 3 months to work out what the hell we are going to do come the summer whilst also giving it to the safest pair of hands available for a shot at the play-offs.

What on earth they are doing if they are speaking to the names Nixon is mentioning I do not know but it isn't going to end well. They clearly don't know what they are doing or looking for, too many cooks spoiling the broth and they're going to end up getting a panic appointment or a middle ground that just isn't what is needed.

Personally whilst we are winning games I'm quite content with them taking their time to make the right decision.

Providing it is the right appointment, at least they can't be accused of rushing it. People say cheapest option but that would be identified pretty quickly so I do think more thought is being given than that.

Also we don't know circumstances, people out of the country, personal or business commitments etc.

Lowe has done a great job stepping in, two wins, two clean sheets, no cut off like a transfer window so let it play out.

Not trusting them I understand but whether it's quick or slow, that doesn't change anything in that respect.

If these names are true then how can anyone deny that they aren’t trying to deliberately derail a promotion push. 😡

Difficult to see it any other way, absolute sabotage of the season.

They are of course, also just picking the cheapest, most desperate yes man they can find, one who will be happy with zero budget and players sold from underneath their feet.

Obviously not a long drawn out process with the best interest of the club at heart, just further cost savings and less boat rocking.

Shambles.
