And the January transfer window was nowhere as bad as some of you make of it. Sanderson showing his worth, Kargbo has been good, Forshaw best performance last week and Riberio has been excellent so far

We'll see. We're paying £20k p.w. for a guy who's hardly kicked a ball yet.

But the positive is that Gueye has improved so much, he hasn't been needed (outside the FA cup). Strangely, I think Dennis (on paper) was the one outstanding player that arrived during January.

Took a few days break from the forums et al ... So does anyone have any relatively decent news on the scenario with the new head coach? I've seen that O'Neil is off, Carsley has fallen right back down the odds and now seeing Ismael being touted?

Happy with our last two performances and the possibility of giving it Lowey until the end of the season but when that loss inevitably comes, fans will quickly turn on him detailing he has never been in that kind of position regardless of whether we see him as the Temu Mr Blackburn Rovers! Haha (no insult to Lowey intended, just Mr Blackburn Rovers will always be our Tony Parkes).

This search is starting to feel a bit like when Henning Berg came in. Wasn't it a couple of weeks of dead ends before they gave Berg the job? Before then he'd not really been mentioned and then suddenly he had the job. Let's hope it doesn't end up with the same set of results once the new fella comes in!

Also seen that Siggy has come out criticising the club since he has joined Malmo (according to a post on Yahoo Sports)... Negative media surrounding us left, right and centre ... No one is going to want to work with us 🤣

They held on to Siggy because both of the striker transfers went to the last day. Obviously that didn't please him.

The most horrifying thing about this entire manager search is that I've now learned Sutton used to shit in a bag.

What the actual fuck?

Someone should ring 606 to challenge him about this on Saturday 😂

Have you read the article?

It literally says Eustace said he has a big part to play for the playoffs.

Then they didn't register him.

Evidently someone has probably gone behind Johns back and not registered him.

🤣 Completely unintentional. I would like a manager/head coach who has at least been boss somewhere else before coming into the club.

Boateng and Boa Morte may make fine managers in the future, I hope they do, but as of 20/2/25 they shouldn't be in consideration.

IMO I reckon our manager budget is not the best, I wouldn't be surprised if Eustace wage was well below the likes of JDT and Mowbary. I wonder if they've now cut costs on manager wages since Eustace and are fishing in the same wage pool. Which would probably be the likes of a up and coming managers wanting the chance, or managers desperate to be back amongst it hence the karanka and ismael links. Again though wouldn't be surprised if we gave the job to someone thats not been mentioned in the media, sometimes these things have a way of going public with random names to throw people off the scent. But my gut feeling is its the first part frustratingly.

I bet the Heitinga's name has been mentioned behind the scenes. Came fairly close to being West Brom manager.

Mr Wicky, decent looking chap to be fair to him

Definitely a shagger, hopefully he fancies a bit of Lancashire's finest!

Derby will have paid whatever 12 months of Eustace salary was - I've heard figures between 500k and 750k.

Steve Kean could buy out of his contract if he paid (or got someone else to pay) 12 months salary (That's the contract that is out there for all to view).

I suspect the same clause is built into all our managers contracts (or similar)

Get lost, Siggy. Loyalty goes both ways.

"They put me in an impossible position. My contract was expiring after the season and I've been injured. It's maybe easy to throw someone away when you're not going to renegotiate."

He's been injured literally all year. His agent really needs to keep him away from microphones.
