Get lost, Siggy. Loyalty goes both ways.

"They put me in an impossible position. My contract was expiring after the season and I've been injured. It's maybe easy to throw someone away when you're not going to renegotiate."

Agreed. Get lost. Out of the Grella School of fitness!

This is quite an old interview from Sigurdsson and was immediately after he found out. He's since thanked the fans and moved on, as should we. The club did do him a little dirty though and we need to get more organised behind the scenes.

Not sure why Jackson's "reporting" that interview so late after it happened. Really poor journalism.

I can't be delighted or excited over any of these suggestions to be honest ...

  • Generally Happy

Valarian Ismael / O'Neil would probably be appointments I would be happy with (even despite my bashing of O'Neil on here).

  • Satisfied

Lowey - "Give it Giggsy until the end of the season" he knows the lads and knows how the set up was, we could be at risk of f-ing things up with a drastic change. You can't deny we've played well under him in the last 2 matches.

Ljinders - Worked closely with Klopp, could be an Arteta situation with how he was with Pep Guardiola?

Carsley - Managed mostly as the 2nd man but has acted interim at the highest stage.

Edwards - Might have taken Luton up but also took them back down and left them where they currently are.

  • Underwhelmed

Gerrard - No, I'm fine for Rovers being linked to the "does not slip now" memes.

Duff - Isn't proven at a competitive level, Duff is one of my all time favourite ex players too but let's be realistic here, he could be something in the next few years but now, no.

Wicky - I don't know much on this fella, all I know is West Brom failed to appoint him... Looks a bit like the bloke out of Maroon 5.

  • Worried or Fuming

Karanka - Clown

Boa Morte / George Boateng - Who? We want proven appointments here.

And the January transfer window was nowhere as bad as some of you make of it. Sanderson showing his worth, Kargbo has been good, Forshaw best performance last week and Riberio has been excellent so far

It's far too early to be drawing conclusions on the success or otherwise of the January window other than to say it directly led to the departure of a promising manager mid-season, just as it did last year.

So regardless of whether the players turn out to be decent or not it has to balanced against the serious destabilising impact on our coaching staff and retention of a good manager.

Will you be celebrating the January window when every one of them other than Kargbo is off playing elsewhere next season?

Why has Gary O'Neil's name still stayed at top of bookies despite news? Appreciate bookies is not 100% but others have moved down and out?

Bookies odds are largely just due to weight of money.

Because the bookies have already taken a lot of money on him a few days ago he will probably still be their biggest liability (or more likely their 'smallest' profit).

Therefore they don't want anyone else backing him so keep him short odds. Once they take enough money on other candidates they will naturally push him out to make him a bit more appealing.

IMO I reckon our manager budget is not the best, I wouldn't be surprised if Eustace wage was well below the likes of JDT and Mowbary. I wonder if they've now cut costs on manager wages since Eustace and are fishing in the same wage pool. Which would probably be the likes of a up and coming managers wanting the chance, or managers desperate to be back amongst it hence the karanka and ismael links. Again though wouldn't be surprised if we gave the job to someone thats not been mentioned in the media, sometimes these things have a way of going public with random names to throw people off the scent. But my gut feeling is its the first part frustratingly.

Waggott appointed Eustace and, whatever we think of SW, he is an experienced agent and negotiator who probably persuaded Eustace to take the job on a lowish wage with promises of future riches.

Pasha is now in charge and has a very tight hold of the purse strings and, of course, he knows nothing about football. God knows how the interviews have gone so far but I am certain that minimal cost will be the priority for him.  That's why I wouldn't be surprised if he sticks with Lowe.

Jackson stating we should have a manager in place by our next home game. Makes sense to appoint and give the guy a few training sessions.

I honestly think it will be a left field appointment, someone we haven’t really spoke about. Was JDT mentioned or Eustace when we appointed?
