Ok. I'm. Actually  just having a forest in a pub so I'm gonna put it out there - it's Roberto di mateo. Signed & sealed starts on Sunday, will be at the game .

Presume this is is a fairly imaginative wind up but couldnt resist looking him up nevertheless.

Sacked by Aston Villa in October 2016, technical advisor to South Korean Club Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors since Jan 2023.

Lol.

Frederiksen or Southgate?

I'd not have been particularly keen on Southgate, but it showed some ambition at least.

Just dipped in for my daily attempt to update myself on the Managerial situation. As with the biannual transfer thread it's barely readable. From what I could glean yesterday we were having a meltdown about Karanka. For the sake of clarity and to save me wading through pages of hysterical nonsense can somebody let me know who we are having a meltdown about today?

I'm hoping the delay is either due to:

1) They're going for someone already in a job (Rather a Duff than a Wellens).

2) They're going for someone who has recently left a job and there are some issues around pay-offs from their last job being impacted (Cooper, Gerrard etc).

If it ends up being a free agent at this stage, I'd assume it's not our first choice.

“I have seen that my name has been mentioned for various clubs in the championship and, all I can say is that, I have shown interest in the Blackburn Rovers job and that I’m interested in being the head coach," he said.

Lol, well, I'm sure he's very interested considering how underqualified he is for the role. Has his name been linked with other jobs in this league? Genuine question as I haven't been following speculation for other clubs vacant roles.

Careful, several people will rage at the idea of him being out new manager even though it’s just him stating interest.

David Lowe reminds me of Bez.

Should we win this weekend, hell get the job, but I guarantee it won't be a happy Monday.

I would like to confirm that I have shown interest in Sydney Sweeney.

Karanka was celebrating his appointment  at a lavish all-you-can-eat-buffet at The Savoy when word got out he’d been offered the job. BRFCS spoke as one. The offer was quickly withdrawn by the club. Karanka was informed by a waiter. He sheepishly asked for a doggy bag, filled it with vol-au-vents, and left The Savoy via a side entrance.

You’re welcome.

Perfectly pithy and very much appreciated.

That sarcasm and condescending  attitude will look rather silly if we do end up with a particularly poor appointment, but, each to their own I suppose.

Nothing like tempting fate.

That must have been a quick conversation.

"So Mr. Southgate. How do you fancy coming to Ewood for 10% of your England salary?"

Ok let me say publicly I am keen on becoming Rovers head coach and if anyone is reading this, please count me as the 151st applicant for the job.

Aye, I’m keen on Margot Robbie.

Is that the Southgate who has like a 28% win rate in club football?

I'm expecting to see you at around 5 - 1 for the job later today.

Southgate has underperformed in every job he's had (yes, including England). That said, for 14 games as just a motivator, could work. Wouldn't have him beyond the season though.

We should do it like guest hosting on HIGNFY.

Each Monday morning the guest manager is introduced to the squad & is responsible for all 1st team issues until midnight the following Sunday.

Alexander Armstrong, Stephen Mangan and Professor Hannah Fry have been lined up for March so far…
