Backroom Mike E Posted February 11 Backroom Share Posted February 11 (edited) Anyone have good advice that can help everyone? It can be something generic, something specific, something a bit weird but useful, and anywhere in between. Caveat: Please do not dispense legal advice or anything else that requires a professional look at it (even if you are that profession yourself). For example, I won’t give any advice to do with dealing with Crime or dealing with a Police Officer, but I will happily give preventative suggestions like: Log your valuables on https://www.immobilise.com It will make it easier to report things being stolen from you, insurance claims, and might even help police return goods to you. It includes the obvious like phones and laptops, but also watches, jewellery, and golf clubs! Oh, and never eat yellow snow… Edited February 11 by Mike E

bluebruce
I think quite a lot of people know this, but, when microwaving leftovers from the day before, sprinkle a little water over it first. Stops it drying out and keeps it tasting pretty fresh. This is especially essential on pizzas, stops the crust getting nasty. (Anyone wondering how much, I usually just put my hand under the kitchen tap on full blast, then flick whatever's on it, and usually do this two or three times depending what I'm nuking...some stuff requires a bit more, some a bit less, and if it's been in the fridge it needs less than if it's been left out...if it's got a watery sauce covering it all, it probably doesn't need it at all)
DeeCee
For the last 40 years I've been covering my TV etc remote controls with cling film after my then toddler son dropped it in a glass of pop and it cost me £24 to replace (1984). It also means you can change channels whilst eating spare ribs, lamb chops etc 👍
