So the players out of contract / going back to their parents clubs in 2025 are:

Sanderson / Beck / Cozier-Duberry / Dennis / Woodrow 

Hyam  / Batth / Ribeiro / Forshaw / Weimann / Dolan / Hedges 

We then have in 2026:

Brittain, Travis, Tronstad

2027:

Pears, Toth, Wharton, Carter, Pickering, JRC, Buckley, Cantwell, Gueye, Ohashi, Leonard and Kargbo 

We would have Garrett (2027), O'Riordan (2028) and Duru (2026) back.

I would;

Renew; Hyam, Batth, Ribeiro, Weimann and Dolan (and Brittain, Travis and Tronstad). Not renewing Forshaw or Hedges.

Who of the promising youngsters may make the step-up next season? 

I am not even considering what positions we may buy and sell in, until the expiring contracts are considered! Of the ones listed above, if we don't renew, we will have:

Pears and Toth

Duru, Brittain, Carter, Wharton, O'Riordan, Pickering

Travis, Tronstad, Buckley, Garrett, Kargbo, Cantwell, JRC

I'd like to release Hedges, but in all honesty with the amount of players we will lose this summer, and the puny budget we will have to replace them, there probably isn't much point. The less extra work we need to do in that window, given we also work at a glacial pace, the better.

You have to hope we are already in talks about extending Ribeiro, but probably not. The Hyam extension will obviously be triggered. Dolan and Batth should be given new deals, unless Batth's injury looks serious. I'd probably give Weimann one more year.

All on the 98% chance we are still in this league next season.

Hedges is a utility player, assuming his wages are on the lower end of our structure he covers about four positions off the bench. If we manage the rest of our business he doesn't make the starting 11 with any regularity. It's not the end of the world if we keep him, it's one less player we have to sign in a summer window where we will need to sign a lot of players.

Batth's legs will go at some point, but he hasn't looked it this season. Hard to say no if he'll take a 1 year extension, again ideally he ends up as cover with Wharton and Carter coming back in.

Ribeiro looks a definite pick up if we can afford him. My fear is that we'll have competition. If Liverpool view Beck as one for the future we might have a chance of loaning him for another year - if they choose to cash in on him we can't afford him, in which case keeping Ribeiro looks even more of a priority.

I think there will be interest in Dolan and that probably takes the matter out of our hands - I think he'll choose to leave and whilst I would keep him I don't want us to get into a bidding war and end up with him as our highest earner.

Weimann is handy in as much as he knows where the goal is, but I do think he is noticeably slowing down at this point. Forshaw is surely out.

Are the club going to have another Nyambe, Lenihen ,Rothwell moment.Back then during the Mowbray era we didn't really sell players like Arma and Raya were the only 2 we really sold from the first team 

But now we need transfer income to pay the milkman 

Both Travis and Brittain will have interest in the summer and I think they will be cashing in on them .Tronstad and Hyam same ,the will activate the option on Hyam and sell him like they did Gallagher 

If we don't go up this season then next season we will have a squad made up of Academy, loans and 1 year deal coming to the end of the careers players
