got to disagree about sanderson and ribeiro,sanderson is a decent enough no frills defender and ribeiro is a fine player who if playing in a sane club would be already be signed up for longer than his orginal short term deal,100% agree about dennis and woodrow,absolutely pointless signings,dennis was ok in principle,but he`s terribly short of match fitness

Ribeiro is ok but his performances have dipped. A reasonable squad option. 

Sanderson more often than not has been a bomb scare. Has nearly given away goals a couple of times through individual errors and is really poor on the ball.

I think with Gestede being a rookie at the job he may not have had the confidence to say that to Eustace. Even so, the fact remains he simply shouldn't have had to say it. The only reason would be if Eustace somehow had the power to delay transfers, and that's the part I'm questioning. It goes back to the same question - if he was able to disrupt transfer dealings, who was giving him the authority to do so? You could argue an inexperienced Gestede allowed Eustace more power than he should have had - but as you say, at that point Suhail and Waggott should have stepped in to clarify the situation. Evidently they didn't, and so we got stuck in a loop of infighting and division between Eustace and the recruitment team.

Unleaded specifically said Eustace had gained influence, so I suppose it depends on whether you trust that part of his story or not. I agree that it's strange, for the reasons I outlined in my last post, and I'd like to know more about exactly how Eustace gained influence and why. The only way would realistically be through Suhail or Waggott giving him that influence, but it would have been grossly incompetent to allow this to happen and continue indefinitely when it was clearly causing serious rifts and hampering our ability to actively recruit.

I don't know Paul personally so I can't go off his word alone, but putting the pieces together it makes sense to me, and so I am inclined to believe it. We again arrive back at the inescapable conclusion that leadership was absent and negligent.

That is indeed the question, why didn't they step in to sort the problem out? I imagine both Park and Eustace were asking themselves the same question and ultimately decided that it wasn't worth their time to continue working under such weak leadership. This is where I have a bit of a problem with the initial suggestion that Park walked because of Eustace. I'd argue that's not seeing the bigger picture. The reason he walked was because Suhail and Waggott could not control the situation and he wasn't prepared to continue working in such a chaotic environment. Eustace supposedly causing issues, if this was happening, was a direct result of leadership failing to take responsibility for the situation.

Also you have overlook why he hasn't be a success like his first loan in pro football and struggling.

Gestede isn't in charge of recruitment but that our scouting department job. He overseas it

Have Gueye with 8 goals and Ohashi with 7 goals really be crap signings? 

Did you think Ohashi could play a full championship season after playing 7 months of the season n Japan and Gueye took time to settle and understand the league but since he got his first league goal he has got better and better.

not what I have said at all RF99, yet again you have clearly not read properly or just read what you want. 

The head coach says he need a new keeper signing and wants one that command the area, communicate and good reflexes. Then the scouts finds the players to present the head coach a shortlist of 3-5 players and he picks one he wants, The head of football operations is in the room during the meeting. Then we try to sign the player the head coach wants. 

How can the head coach scout players or find players overseas? I asked you a number of questions about this subject in previous days which you ignored. I understand you don't want this system in place but this system is the right one for football club to have.

I never said that Ohashi and Gueye have been crap signings. The overall recruitment has been crap as I listed out, you would have to have low standards to suggest otherwise. 

We needed a new number 1, we failed to get one. We needed a new goalscorer, none of the ones we have signed have got into double figures and we have scored considerably less per game than last season, so we failed there. Our big summer signing to play in Szmodics' position has been a big failure. All the main aims have been failed. A small budget overseen by a novice who is out of his depth.

Ohashi and Gueye have been no better than ok though. Neither has more than 6 league goals and there are only 8 games left in the season. So its safe to say that neither has provided the goals we needed from the attackers we wanted in the summer.

@roversfan99 I have posted all my opinions on signings, which ones I think has worked and not. I have posted my opinions on how our recruitment should work and have good conversation with DE over it. I have answered all questions by him

Well, we know they didn't sort it out because Park left. If it had been sorted in favour of either side then you would have expected one of Eustace or Park to leave, not both. The fact they both decided they wanted out suggests the situation was just left to deteriorate.
