Colt Seavers
25 minutes ago, Ricky said: I’d be considering Buckley in the Cantwell role once Sonny is back. I’ve slated Buckley previously but in the last few games he really seems to have got some confidence and form back. He’s spraying passes around and switching the play from left to right at ease. Cantwell was a bit better yesterday but he is still not at the level he should be. Agreed. Bringing Dennis up to speed might just motivate Cantwell to rediscover his best form. Having some depth in the squad which we now seem to have should provide the necessary competitive edge for all of them.

Plastics
You know you've wound them up when someone's shouting "I'll fucking stab you" after the Dolan goal. https://youtu.be/BOgHbouV3nY?si=BpjC9azcOkXq03t_
arbitro
Playing Forshaw might just have been a masterstroke from Lowe yesterday. Whilst Buckley has done well starting Forshaw against a team who effectively tore his contract up a month ago would have been motivational I think. The simplicity of his game was a feature of the win for me yesterday and his goal the icing on his (and our) cake. If Lowe is still in charge next Saturday he certainly has selection problems (of the right kind of course).

Hasta
I’m not sure I’m fully buying Forshaw’s celebration excuse. Once he moved away from the bench he made a point of walking towards the Plymouth fans who had been booing him and gave a bit of a celebration in their direction. I think he knew what he was doing to some degree.

Clearly alot of fans feel let down by Eustace and his comments about being a team, a family and being togetherness. Spoke to a few fans on Friday night who were angry at his departure after his words and actions since Last Friday. They were plenty of chants "are you watching John Eustace? " and very surprised how many "David Lowe's Blue and White Army chants they were. Kargbo had a massive effect on the game when he came. Pace, movement and what a clever pass to Dolan to score You was very frustrated at the owners/board for not giving Eustace the contract and assurances he wanted to build. Has any of your personal frustration moved towards Eustace?
BankEnd Rover
Ribeiro's ball to Cantwell to start the first goal is going unnoticed. Shows class from both players.

Similarly it shouldn’t be understated just how good Dolan was for the first. Not just the touch back into Forshaw but the fact he played the ball in to Brittain to start the move on the halfway line, then got to the 6 yard box to knock it back. Not often you see 60 yards covered in a 1-2!

...
Looking at how we are at the moment , and I know we can't get to excited just quite yet, the players that are around now with outstanding contracts to be renewed possibly would they want to stay with this bunch of players? Is it a possibility that the this group has something special enough to stay?
Atko's Engine
It was a really solid, professional performance yesterday against an in-form side with their tails up. We didn't panic (aside from the Forshaw backpass at 0-0 & a Pearsism at 1-0), kept our shape & widened the pitch more, mixed up short & long balls, & were able to up the tempo 2nd half which Plymouth couldn't cope with. I thought Forshaw & Travis worked well together. In fact, I think me & Travis would play well together, which is a mark of how good Travis has become because tronstad, Buckley & Forshaw all look better next to him. Ribeiro looks great, a proper swashbuckling up n downer, love him already. Samderson looked decent but wasn't really pressured. Kargbo looks a real live wire & has pace to burn. Gueye was quiet but still had influence, Dolan was electric 2nd half & unlucky not to get MoM. Everyone else was solid 7s bar ACD, who had some good moments but looks a little lost at this level generally. Hats off to David Lowe in particular. He's clearly respected by his fellow coaches & the players & now I think the wider fanbase can see why. His under-the-radar persona led many to wonder what purpose he serves, which in turn fed into unfounded criticism. The same applies to Benson in many ways. I'm really pleased for Lowe that his stock amongst the fans has sky rocketed & I hope it leads his detractors to think twice about casting unfounded aspersions & his, & others' value behind the scenes.

Yeah, the criticism of the likes of Lowe and Benson from people who wouldn’t have a clue as to their abilities, is laughable.

joey_big_nose
3 hours ago, rigger said: Cantwells main problem, is that he is too easy to push-off the ball. For the first time in ages he managed to hold onto it pretty well yesterday and pulled off some great passes... But i do think he needs to get forward more and be a threat. Really whoever is in the number 10 role needs a bit of pace and desire to get beyond Gueye and into the box... Looking at Kargbo against Plymouth I am wondering if thats the role for him. Him and Gueye could work really well together I think, total nightmare for defenders. Would free up Kargbo to focus on playing on the last man and combing with Gueye rather than dropping off to defend down on the left. Dennis also in the frame to play with Gueye too. And Ohashi, as well as Wieman. Where that leaves Cantwell I am not sure. But he played pretty well and we won so I imagine he keeps the shirt next week. sharpysharps86
Watching the highlights and that 2nd goal is a thing of beauty really. Kargbo and Gueye link up has a lot of potential. The speed of the move, the clinical finish from Dolan....just brilliant. Do Swansea still needlessly try and play out from the back? If so then Kargbo might be a good option to start with and put their defence under pressure with his pace.
Cherry Blue
39 minutes ago, ... said: Here's a question. Would yesterdays team of beaten the dingles I wonder....? Thoughts are: - Problem when playing against dingles is no team can score against them. - nobbers managed a 0 0, you would have expected 0 2. - We've scored 4 in two games but we need to be better. Cantwell should have scored and on another day Gueye would have made it 3 at the end. Who would have expected Forshaw to start even never mind score! - We looked solid at the back but again Pears almost gifted. Therefore I'd say 0 0. We appear to be heading in right direction but waggott might derail with wrong HC appointment. Are we looking like soon we might hit the net more in a game is a rumour, especially when new loans are fit and players back when we can use the bench more productively. So the dream is we get to playoff final & beat dingles 3 0.
