moerpho Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Ribeiro got MotM at stadium. Hard to disagree. Been brilliant today. Dolan 2nd half a good number two 2 Quote

Albeit we spent less than we should and a lot of short term deals I thought in terms of quality and quantity it was about right - it was just about 30 days too late and obviously it's all short term. 2 Quote
Tugay-is-God Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Ahhh, Gueye just misses out on the perfect ending to the game there. Quote

Very shrewd signings. Recruitment this year has generally been very good (Gueye, Ohashi, Wieman, Baath all performed well). Im curious given the chaos behind the scenes how thats happened. Even Forshaw who seemed a real desperate signing has worked out very well for minimal money. Edited February 15 by joey_big_nose 2 Quote
Eddie Posted February 15 Posted February 15 If we are being cynical… Do we have to pay more for Dennis when he makes a league appearance? Is that why we might be less likely to see him late on in games where the result is decided… Quote

neophox Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Kargbo miles better than Hedges!!! Great win! Eustace and JDT could not beat Plymouth but Magic Lowe could! Quote
Popular Post Exiled_Rover Posted February 15 Popular Post Posted February 15 This is the best ref we've had all season. No idea who he is, but he's had the game under control - no silly bookings, no petulance from the players and not buying any play acting. 19 Quote

Read that somewhere yesterday - not sure if it was on the Derby site, BBC or another news outlet (Guardian??). It was phrased as "wanting to feel the buzz of Pride Park without causing a fuss as the deals weren't signed and sealed" (paraphrasing as i can't find the article again Quote

Backroom DE. Posted February 15 Backroom Posted February 15 Great result against a team who were starting to pick up momentum. Unfortunately for them, so are we! Big decision to make - do we have faith in the remaining backroom staff and squad to get us over the line, or appoint an external manager for what remains of the season? It was a much easier answer before we won two on the spin without conceding. Good performances in both as well, and the list of external candidates is uninspiring to say the least. It's only two games, granted, but can't deny we look like we're getting on a roll, and momentum is vitally important at this stage of the season. If the current team know how to carry on what Eustace had implemented, do we leave it be rather than bring in a potential disruption? My head says stop being stupid, we obviously need a proper manager in situ, but at the same time... 2 Quote
