I am very strongly of the view Kargbo should start but that is a tackling from the front with high press side.

Whatever the caretaker management of Swansea does, they don't have players who can reliably handle those sorts of tactics.

My concern is we are relying on them making mistakes more than us creating goals and we are not giving ourselves enough time at 0-0 or losing 1-0 to.go win it from the bench.

Have never understood the "Let's stay in the game until half time and then give it a go in the second half" type mentality favoured by Bowyer and Mowbray and to a lesser extent Eustace and Lowe. It's far more difficult to win a game over 45 mins than 90.

I dont like that starting line up personally, but after two wins I suppose Lowe has earnt the right to tackle it exactly as he chooses. Whilst it's working - no problem.

That is usually a tactic to be used against a better team than you are.

He's not that type of player at all.

Yet JDT and Eustace picked him for most games when fit. Wonder why that is?.

Pears gets picked for every game at the moment. Does that mean he a top class goalkeeper ?

Compared to our other keepers, yes.

I said previously that I wouldn’t mind seeing Buckley in the Cantwell role. He’s got a good range of passing and could thrive in that position as he can’t tackle for shit!

His best season for us was further up the field in league one I believe

You have your wires crossed, Buckley didn't make his debut until a couple of years after Rovers were in League 1

the year he played further forwards was Mowbray's last season (21/22)

It wasnt in League 1.

Hands up here then, I might have been cynically presuming that was his level too (as an attacker)

Proof that Elliott Jackson reads stuff from here.

His predicted team is the exact same as the one leaked on here.

But of course he does! Anyone who actually has any interest in the Rovers would naturally gravitate to this source of balanced, passionate, informed (by experience) and pointed observation on the club. I know I don't bother with any other 'source' for my fix (including the junk pushed out by the club on the rovers.co.uk webbie).

If you know, you want to know!

Not holding out much hope or optimism with the starting 11 but hope to be pleasantly surprised, would like to see us go for them right out the blocks and show some intent

thought cantwell showed flashes of real quality in the last game but needs other footballers around him who can play on his wavelength

looks like a leggy slower team selection full of sideways and backwards passes

I remember us playing at Swansea when Buckley was playing further forward and he missed a chance I could have put away. A real sitter. Having said that I still think that is his best position.

Agreed...If the rumoured selection is correct then it's a poor one from Lowe.

3 players starting who should NOT be starting...Obviously if injuries are a factor then it's difficult but we have better options than Weimann and Hedges.

Of course I'm not a manger so more than happy for Mr Lowe to shut me up for the 3rd game in a row.

Im with you there.

If the likes of Hedges and ACD start I'll be disappointed ( unless one of them score) but I'm sure they won't get anywhere near 90 mins.

hedges not a starter anymore for me and acd is to lightweight for this league,he lost the ball countless times last week by getting hustled off it

I agree, but I can see him starting this one as I think Lowe will value his defensive duties similarly to having him start against West Brom. Going forward though he is awful.

To me it seems more likely that Hedges starts and Kargbo comes off the bench 2nd half.

Would love to see

                     pears

Brittain Sanderson Hyam Ribiero

                  Trav     JRC

Dennis          cantwell       Kargbo

                       Gueye

is beck injured? Could always start Beck for Kargbo and switch up later in the game

Dolan for Cantwell when legs are tired
