How does the point system work for away tickets? I am a season ticket holder, but not a member. I have 301 points. Derby away is 290 points. The website says I don't meet the requirements for this match. Is that because I am not a member?

Thanks I advance.

You don't Need to be a season ticket holder to accumulate points, however if you don't qualify for the correct points ticket release, then you can wait till general sale. Presumably for Derby?

Completely glance over everything and read it all wrong lol.

Not sure why it's not allowing you. Email the ticket office or ring the store

I find the way the club does loyalty points weird.

So the 290 and 240 points are fine, but then why does it then go straight to general sale, instead of say 200, 150, 100, 50 to general sale over successive days. If you've got 230 points (which obv indicates a fair amount of 'loyalty' and games attended), you're no better off than someone attending their ever Rovers game?

Having a ‘points’ system is, err, pointless here, Dingles aside when was the last time an away game didn’t go to open sale? Just make the Dingle game ‘ST holders with x away games’ before all ST holders and job done.

More nonsense from the brains trust to put alongside ‘Digital Day’ and having a manned away ticket office counter (for pick ups), but not actually selling away tickets - for an end with nearly 8,000 seats).

I disagree, there are occasions when the loyalty scheme is needed. Off the top of my head I was fortunate enough to go to Harrogate away in the cup where tickets were very limited, they definitely didn't reach general sale.

I would also be very surprised if the Derby tickets reach general sale, every man and his dog seems to want to go to that one!

It is very few and far between on when it is needed but it is handy to have the system in some instances.

I agree there needs a priority system for the once in a blue moon game where demand outstrips supply here- doesn’t need to be points, never was before this season.

’Season ticket holders with x away games’ and taper down. Simple, like it always was

I was picking my Swansea tickets up yesterday and he said 1,500 Derby tickets sold yesterday.

What is the initial allocation ? Usually the club reveal the allocation, they haven't for the Derby game.

No chance you get 5,000 at Pride Park.

Max allocation is 3,100 but most teams seem to have somewhere between 2,600/2800.

I imagine Rovers will have accepted a reduced allocation and won't now be able to get the full 3100 even if they wanted it.

See Leeds 'sell out' which was a sell out of the reduced allocation ignoring the fact that they could have had an extra 1500+ in the lower tier but declined.

Suspect it will be a similar affair at Derby - boasting about a 'sell out' but won't get the maximum allocation.

With respect JHR you may be being unnecessarily negative there.
Bristol City asked for an additional allocation to the standard first award 9 days before their match at end of August and got a further 464 tickets.
As with all BRFC issues atm time will tell!

Why can I only see an option to purchase tickets in a safe standing enclosure ???

They other sections might have sold out, they were available when I bought mine

If you press on the safe standing other options come up. But when I enquired yesterday they said only a few left and would probably go when the new points kick in.
