Play offs - hypothetical scenario

Them winning the championship at Ewood certainly wasn’t nice for Rovers but it didn’t have too much impact on us, either team beating the other in the playoffs celebrating whilst at the same time dumping their rivals out would be a far bigger win for either team there’s no doubt about that.

Not going to happen mind

I’m really not. The amount of games in that time wasn’t that many anyway. We have been unbeaten for the same amount of games in a much shorter timeframe. At a time where the league positions has been much more equal than any time in that 34 years. And we have never been owned and subsidised by billionaires.

We have been dominant in that time from self generated wealth and hard work.

I’m actually in a minority in that I don’t hate Blackburn. I love the rivalry. And on the week of the games love the intensity of it. And obviously hope we win and remain dominant. But I’d love for us to play each other at the highest level consistently- the rivalry and the top flight deserves it.

football is cyclical. And our period of dominance will likely shift. But for now I’m enjoying it while it lasts. One more game and our run will overtake the 34 year run. Most wins overall despite years in the doldrums. Most wins in a row. Multiple wins in a row at ewood. And won the league there.

34 years doesn’t come close to that.

And all it took was some Indian cunts buying the team and intentionally sabotaging Rovers.

The "we won the league at Ewood" is so small-time it completely sums them up as a club and a fanbase.

They technically clinched the 2nd division title at Ewood Park with a very good goal, which was their only shot on target in that match. If you add in the context that they had failed to win the title before then because they had mucked up their precious two fixtures against fodder, it's even less impressive. Let them crow about it, division two title, small-time.

Talking about "avenging" that result, who cares? It doesn't even come close to the April Fools Day Massacre, the 5-0 could easily have been 7 or 8.

Imagine if we'd had social media sites back then, with all the trolling and goading you see online these days, they would have unplugged the internet in B*rnley for a month.

I also find it bizarre that their fans regularly post on our forums. I don't think they should be banned, everyone free to do as they like. But I've never been on any of their social media sites, forums, websites in my life and never would, I can't understand why you would.
