Interesting to read the red card opinions. For me Dennis should have been red carded for his first yellow - his second yellow, you see them given as yellows and the Norwich players dramatics didn't help. So overall don't think we can complain.

For me the stranger one, is the noise around the Hyam block on the keeper - Sky have made lots of noise about a deliberate elbow - but for me he had just attempted to hold up the keeper from releasing the ball which you see numerous times - no deliberate elbow IMO.

Yeah I saw that, it was like a minute after he came on too. Concerning.

When Baath is back could we see him switch the formation to his favored 3-4-3. That didn’t work today for long spells.

Our full-backs where caught out of position too much, especially in the first half. Norwich should have scored on two occasions, in that first half. Even in the second-half when we had more of the attacking play, when we lost the ball, Norwich cut through us with ease. Norwich's forward play was as bad as ours. 2 points lost, but we are still in the race. Bring on Derby.

Kargbo don’t do defending…he leaves his full back exposed far too often…needs attention on the training pitch…

Thought we were second best for a good hour or so, struggling to get out of our own half and not being able to put a few passes together.

After the subs and for the 10/15 or so before the sending off thought we got on top and looked the more likely to score.

Ref didn't have control all game, penalty a tight one, Dennis lucky with the first but not sure the second was a booking.

Great to see a stoppage time goal, first meaningful one in front of fans since Feb 2020.

Looked to me that Dennis had a pretty bad attitude when he came one. Complaining and gesticulating to his teammates. Anyone that was there that can confirm? Only saw the bits that was caught on camera.

Dennis was complaining cos he was made good runs from the right side inside and not being track by the left back but we didn't deliver it. So it was justified

Felt sorry for Gueye... Won every nothing ball today with absolutely no support or service from 2 crap performances from Dolan and Cantwell. Was unlucky not to score from the only decent cross from Ribeiro.

Dolan has probably done enough over the season to keep his place but Cantwell needs dropping for Ohashi who actually puts in the yards and can score goals.

Yuri Ribeiro is becoming a really favourite of mine. Really solid player but can get forwards really well. Put in the only 2 decent crosses of the game. One for Gueye that was deflected over the bar and one for the goal. Wish we would get his contract sorted out.

I agree we were poor in terms of service to Gueye but also goal kicks where Dolan and Karbgo need to looking to run onto the flick off and also need to be much closer to Gueye at goal kicks

Agree 100% on your Ribeiro and I hope Gestede is speaking to agent about 2 year contract

Our full backs were more inside cos Norwich wide players in Dobbin and Sainz played more inside and forced Brittain and Ribeiro to played narrow. Norwich were very well coached and tactical good and know what they were doing.

Whatever people think of Dolan he shouldn't be going for next to nothing as he inevitably will. Its often highlighted how much

money Venkys have put in but rarely how much they have thrown away.

Personally I would let Dolan go for nothing now. If I don't see him play again for us, I won't be disappointed.

Everytime Dolan has a poor game the good things he has done in the past weeks are quickly forgotten about.

He is what he Is a young and inconsistent player. Last few weeks he has had some good performances, today he was poor and has been at other times but....

It gets a bit ridiculous when people start saying things like "never want to see him wear the shirt again".."useless" ..."should be playing in league one " etc etc etc

He is a very frustrating player, has the occasional good game but most of the time he is just woeful. He might still be relatively young but he must have 100 / 150 appearances and continues to make the same mistakes and appears to have very little football intelligence and I don’t see any improvement in his play or offensive output.

First thing Dennis did after he came on was scream at Weimann to press, and it was basically the first time all game we'd put pressure on their CBs and they ended up going back to the keeper. I get the sense that Ismael doesn't like to press from today's game, but I thought it was a good sign for Dennis regardless. I thought he was going to be very passive and just be here in body with little interest, but his complaining was because he wanted to win. It definitely wasn't bad attitude.

The low press definitely comes from Eustace.

I really liked it, to be fair. He was making runs across their back line and gesturing to put him through. We haven’t had a player making forward runs like that in a long time. Carter played him a really nice ball through which it looked like Gueye got in the way of.

I want my forwards to demand the ball…

I liked that he looked hungry, and as professionals they can dish it out. Just fear that he might be a bit of a rotten egg if things don't go his way. A bit harsh that red card but the first foul was really poor against a former Rover.

This is what I was saying in an earlier post, the awful press led to them being able to go deep on our left, drag us across leaving their opposite full back and winger playing 50/50 all the time and cheating out wide, left Brittain totally exposed most of the first half with the switch from their right to left

To be fair to eustace it was a passive press with hedges and Dolan curing off full backs and shadowing the pivot until they crossed into the middle third and then it became a more engaged press. Yesterday was horrible, whether that was a poorly executed JE press or a badly advised VI I don’t know

Modern full backs play much too close to the centre halves. They’re not caught out of position because that’s where they’re coached to play. There’s acres of room out wide to be exploited if you can get the ball out there. Maybe it’s because they know nobody has any wingers worthy of the name.

He’s not a natural but at least on two occasions, he ran all the way back to become the last man and clear, albeit one ended up as an unnecessary corner.

That is pretty much how I saw the match unfold, the clear difference was that Norwich players generally found a yellow shirt with their passing and appeared much quicker breaking and both in and out of possession.

When it comes to the referee, of the two sides, we have less to complain about than Norwich. Hyam should have gone in the first half and Dennis could easily have gone for his first yellow. The second yellow was soft but one way or another, I don’t think we could complain about being down to 10 by the end.

Apart from the incidents you mention the ref gave us next to nothing all game. Most 50/50 incidents went Norwich’s way.

Our passing is dreadful at times. It all comes down to decision making. We take the wrong option too often. I’d be sitting them down to watch the full game tomorrow. “ Here’s what you did, now what should you have done? “ it’s been the same story for ages.
