I'm sure they would have heard whispers perhaps it affected them. Wonder what Brittain had to share with them. I hope not, although I think if players are willing to down tools over a manager who doesn't have the worst (or the best) track record potentially taking over then we are in big trouble and they need a kick up the arse. For me, the Swansea game was the end of the post-Eustace siege mentality period and levels dropping as a result of there being no manager in place.

Hope you are right, it was a huge drop off in performance levels and to a man we were very poor, I don't think anyone came out if that game with any sort of pride. I do wonder what our players that have played for him are saying. Edited February 27 by USABlue

Man: No, I haven’t, this is my first time. Receptionist: I see. Well, do you want to have just one argument, or were you thinking of taking a course? Man: Well, what is the cost? Receptionist: Well, It’s one pound for a five minute argument, but only eight pounds for a course of ten. Man: Well, I think it would be best if I perhaps started off with just the one and then see how it goes. Receptionist: Fine. Well, I’ll see who’s free at the moment. (Pause) Receptionist: Mr. DeBakey’s free, but he’s a little bit conciliatory. Ahh yes, Try Mr. Barnard; room 12. Man: Thank you. (Walks down the hall. Opens door.) ... Man: Ah, Is this the right room for an argument? Mr Vibrating: I told you once. Man: No you haven’t. Mr Vibrating: Yes I have. Man: When? Mr Vibrating: Just now. Man: No you didn’t. Mr Vibrating: Yes I did. Man: You didn’t Mr Vibrating: I did! Man: You didn’t! Mr Vibrating: I’m telling you I did! Man: You did not!! Mr Vibrating: Oh, I’m sorry, just one moment. Is this a five minute argument or the full half hour? Man: Oh, just the five minutes. Mr Vibrating: Ah, thank you. Anyway, I did. Man: You most certainly did not. Mr Vibrating: Look, let’s get this thing clear; I quite definitely told you. Man: No you did not. Mr Vibrating: Yes I did. Man: No you didn’t. Mr Vibrating: Yes I did. Man: No you didn’t. Mr Vibrating: Yes I did. Man: No you didn’t. Mr Vibrating: Yes I did. Man: You didn’t. Mr Vibrating: Did. Man: Oh look, this isn’t an argument. Mr Vibrating: Yes it is. Man: No it isn’t. It’s just contradiction. Mr Vibrating: No it isn’t. Man: It is! Mr Vibrating: It is not. Man: Look, you just contradicted me. Mr Vibrating: I did not. Man: Oh you did!! Mr Vibrating: No, no, no. Man: You did just then. Mr Vibrating: Nonsense! Man: Oh, this is futile! Mr Vibrating: No it isn’t. Man: I came here for a good argument. Mr Vibrating: No you didn’t; no, you came here for an argument. Man: An argument isn’t just contradiction. Mr Vibrating: It can be. Man: No it can’t. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition. Mr Vibrating: No it isn’t. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I read every bit haha (awaiting a "no you didnt") 🤣 Edited February 27 by ...

You think she’s amazing but recently, she’s had a wondering eye, you’ve seen her flashing other fellas the eye in Preston, Hull and Plymouth and decided to give her the benefit of the doubt, and then your worst fears come to light when you find out she’s met a guy from Derby. In your final showdown, she tells you how he’s offering her “so much more” and if you’d just propose to her, commit to her then she’d turn him down….what would you do? because of boxing day
We were outmanoeuvred at Swansea by an understandably inspired Lewis O’Brien and by 10 others who were set up with new 4 at the back tactics to positively attack our predictable pressure absorbing pedestrian lineup with pace in and between the lines and into the wide channels that neutralised Britain and Ribeiro attacking urges. We were simply outcoached on the day by a switched on temporary coach. It was painful to watch barring Weimann’s 2 early efforts. Edited February 27 by because of boxing day Sp. Not sure about that. I've seen just as terrible performances with Eustace in charge with siege mentality just as absent. The players (but mainly the club for signing/sticking with them) have got to take some blame. Hedges not good enough, Forshaw and Weimann too old, Dolan inconsistent. Yeah exactly, we threw plenty of those performances in under Eustace, JDT, Mowbray etc. It was just a classic Blackburn Rovers long away trip after a bit of optimism arrived (2 wins on the bounce and clear in 5th). See also, Coventry, Plymouth and Oxford away under Eustace. I'd take defeat to Swansea all day if it means a comfortable 3 points on Saturday.

I think it was more just players being genuinely poor. Dolan having one of his 9 in 10 games, Hedges being completely finished at this level, Weimann demonstrating that his legs have gone and Pears being awful. We had chances in that game, but it was done at half time through individual errors. Edited February 27 by Exiled_Rover
