Seems to me that any no mark nobody, not successful and playing the fucking game can get a managerial job at Rovers these days. Do those who do the interviews actually ask for a CV? 

A French fucking frog who knows nowt about football in England as is proved by his previous appointments. 

Is he even from France?

Agree, can’t start with today’s formation again, we don’t have wing backs, Ribeiro and Brittain were pinned by the opposition and they can’t play through the channels by themselves. 3 CBs lack understanding at times, risky at this point to the mess with things at the back. Need to sort out the midfield instead. JE always steadied the back first.

Given the comments of Elliott Bennett and posts on his podcast, on the under the cosh thread, looks like this guy is going to accept being told, who he does and who he doesn’t start/ use, which suits the hirearchy down to the ground. 

The lineup at Stoke, was quite rightly frowned upon before kick off and now makes sense. 
Give him a 3 year contract, if he will accept this regime and get him talking about the summer and next season ASAP rather than the top six and play offs, which should have been the narrative.

I only read a comment, but apparently on the under the cosh podcast, he stated that Mowbray was advised that he could not use him as required, as a certain number of appearances, would trigger a contract extension. That’s the sort of stuff that was reported at the very beginning of the VH ownership with the likes of Salgado. 

I am hoping that this new manager is not being given similar instructions, as the starting line ups so far, have seemed a bit strange. 
I will listen to the podcast later, but think that’s accurate.

I know we had it at the very beginning and hopefully it isn't but these owners have a track record of hiring a manager, who will front up and say the strangest of things, whenever there seems to be a need to do so.

If he starts to spout how any new signings are the new this and the new that,, then start to worry. So far as I am concerned, the length of this guys contract and his performance in his last 2 posts, simply do not warrant this and I am not saying this, after the horse has bolted, as I have already gone on record with this, but I found the Allez le Bleus letter very perplexing and unnecessary at the time, but it may be my suspicious mind.

All hope sucked out last night. I travel up 4.5 hours to watch the home games for my season ticket. I will not be attending another one now until the last home game of the season just to close the season out, waste of my money. I had a ticket last night for stoke away, luckily I was too ill to travel last night, done me a favour that. I will stick to the more local away games for rest of this season. Clubs scored one too many own goals for my liking right now.

I’m convinced that certain elements of the team selection is based on  cost and not ability. Choose the right players and then play the right system and then e have a chance.

The line up and the tactics were woeful, last night and on Saturday.

Ismael really needed a good start. He’s not to blame for what’s gone on before him, but he’s come to a side where the fans are rightly at the end of their tether. He knew what he was signing up for and agreed a lengthy contract (the players aren’t permitted such seemingly). He enjoyed a ‘warm welcome’ against Norwich, but I suspect things will turn sour quickly. If we lose to Cardiff at home then I think the tide turns. It could be a record for a fanbase asking for a manager to be sacked after 4 games! Considering how important it was that he started well, it’s remarkable that he saw fit to change the system that had gotten the team in the top 5 prior to his arrival. It’s pretty arrogant to switch things up and he’s gotten what he deserves so far. Big game for him on Saturday and for what it’s worth, I think we’ll lose comfortably.

I don't really blame ismael. He was given the opportunity of employment and took it. The fact that he's crap is a different discussion.  If we had decent owners, ismael would be nowhere near the club

we`ve lost easily to two awful sides,possibly a third on saturday.ismaels demenour on the touchline is awful and it looks to me that he`s struggling to understand why we are so bad,i suggest he looks at his team shape and the gap between our midfield and mahktar,it`s the size of a reservoir,all the compact shape initiated by eustace has been shot to pieces,for what it`s worth i think we`ll get beat on saturday as well

Don't forget Captain Coyle being what, 3 or 4 down at half time on his first game of that season? I imagine that turned quicker!

That said, I reckon that Coyle team would have battered what Ismael put out there last night. Him talking about the second half being better is utter delusion - I don't think I've ever seen a team look less arsed about attacking.

Ismael's reaction to the Derby debacle was to pick a team last night that was so bizarre and clearly wrong that it left everyone scratching their heads. 

Even after just 3 games, I think it's clear Ismael doesn't know what he's doing.
