I want to say it's unbelievable but we know how it played out. It's really sad to hear from the players perspective. What a joke. "Want an iron bru?" (!!!!!) 1 Quote

If they have done it in the past, I’m sure they would do it again and it seems to me, that keeping the club as a self funding operation, is more important than success on the pitch. My line up yesterday, would have been. Toth Brittain. Hyam. Carter. Ribeiro Jrc. Travis. Tronstad. Buckley Dennis Gueye. Have a listen to the Bennett podcast and see if you still trust the decision makers as much as you currently seem to. That podcast is so frustrating. Play for free for 2 years or go. That has been the real surprise to me of Ismael's three games as manager. We simply haven't pressed high up the pitch which is something we did well under Tomasson and Eustace. Teams are finding us too easy to play against. 2 Quote

BlackburnEnd75 Posted March 15 Posted March 15 What were they thinking giving him a 3 and a half year deal? It was always going to be difficult for him if he didn't hit the ground running. Now he's hit the ground face first it could get very uncomfortable for him very quickly. I'm still hoping he can turn it around somewhat because as we all know it's very frustrating in the past watching us refuse to sack a manager (Coyle, Kean the most egregious examples). Any change in shape should've happened in the summer when he had time to implement it properly. He's got to revert back to what's worked for the side this season and scrape a few wins for respectability. Because if we continue in our current form he won't be getting the benefit of the doubt. These fixtures are on paper the easiest we will have until the end of the season. 3 Quote
Mattyblue Posted March 15 Posted March 15 (edited) From what I can see, at three and a half years this contract length is longer than what any other manager has been given here on appointment since this lot darkened our doors - why? Edited March 15 by Mattyblue 4 Quote

He's cheap and will do as he's told. Probably him that demanded that length and the club accepted as the next choice would have been even shitter and probably would have brought a lot of scrutiny and attention towards them. 1 Quote
Backroom DE. Posted March 15 Author Backroom Posted March 15 It's also possible the club negotiated a cheap break clause in the contract which allows them to terminate without any major financial penalty at a certain point. This would suggest a degree of competence which seems unlikely based on past history, but nonetheless. Quote
Mattyblue Posted March 15 Posted March 15 He’s cheap and will do as his told could have been many others too - Bowyer, Coyle etc. they weren’t given three and a half year deals… even King Rat, the stooges stooge wasn’t. 1 Quote
Ferrit Posted March 15 Posted March 15 3.5 year contract looks worse and worse, whoever made that decision needs to be fired. Even if you thought this clown was the right man for the job (he isn’t) what justification is there for 3.5 years? Ridiculous 2 Quote
BigHoz Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Thank you John Eustace, for getting us the points to stay up, because this guy is fucking useless 😂 3 Quote
Norbert Rassragr Posted March 15 Posted March 15 He proving to be worse than Coyle. Bet your house on relegation next season. 1 Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted March 15 Moderation Lead Posted March 15 Usually, when a new manager comes in, you see some sort of reaction or something to cling to. There’s genuinely nothing. The players look lost and like they’ve met on the car park before the match. 5 Quote
J*B Posted March 15 Posted March 15 A disaster, as predicted. A good DOF hires a manager that fits the players available. Ours hired one that only knows how to play 3-4-3. Quote

Whenever there's a sniff of playoffs we suddenly lose. Quote
Backroom DE. Posted March 15 Author Backroom Posted March 15 Looks like Ismael is where Waggott and Suhail's luck runs out when it comes to bringing in unemployed cheap managers expected to keep the titanic afloat. And believe me, it's been nothing but a ridiculous streak of luck for the pair of them. 5 Quote
OnionBalaji Posted March 15 Posted March 15 The lack of desire, emotion, reaction, anything from him on the touchline makes me more angry about the whole thing either way; good for him, he’s secured a payday and some compo when he’s sacked - journeyman to the core like the rest as a player there’s no inspiration if he’s listless and disinterested Quote

Yes he's useless, but who's employed him? 2 Quote
duckson Posted March 15 Posted March 15 He won't be sacked even if we don't win another game for the rest of the season. Then we start next season poorly, in the bottom 3 and even then they'll wait until Feb so the next manager cannot spend any money in the Jan transfer window. League 1 beckons. 2 Quote

It's the wrong appointment. We needed someone who could grind out games with this squad/injury list. But not signing that striker we needed in January, again, and also bringing in players no one else wanted is hurting us. Eustace left because he knew his stock would fall due to incompetence and lack of support above. 2 Quote
davulsukur Posted March 15 Posted March 15 3 losses to 3 of the worst teams in the league. Terrible appointment. Quote

Forever Blue Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Was Valerie Dismal a Rudy hire? Should we be grateful? We really are run by utter cnuts. 1 Quote
