Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach

Let:

S = Supporting Rovers (a positive value)

V = Venky’s ownership (a negative value)

N = Negativity

Equation:

S + V = N

Since S (supporting Rovers) is positive and V (Venky’s ownership) is negative, the negativity N arises when the negative impact of V outweighs the joy of S, leading to:

|V| > S \-> N > 0

Thus, the equation shows that while supporting Rovers is positive, the negativity stems from the influence of Venky’s ownership.

🤣🤣🤣 I wasn't expecting a mathematical proof but I can't argue with that to be fair!

I wouldn’t get to bothered about the letter.

He probably just wrote it as his first program notes and the club just didn’t want it to go to waste.

Why are people getting wound up about this letter?

I see no praise for the ownership or board .

He explained in his interview why Rovers title win is something that stuck with him as it was the year he made his debut as a professional  and that he had always watched English football

Same happened back end of last season, Eustace's interviews were forensically dismantled, it all got a bit ridiculous.

He could have least write a poem! Laziness.

If he has written it, I kinda like it. It’s probably not any worse than JE’s togetherness and saying ‘Listen’ at the start of every sentence.

It is slightly Ted Lasso though. 😂

The overreaction to peoples reactions about the letter are as bizarre as the overreactions themselves. Although I think to some it is a trigger to the boards incompetencr rather than an issue with anything Ismael has said.

Probably didnt write it, even if he did, full of typical manager speak. Im sure he never has given 2 thoughts to our title win, and the rest is just standard manager speak like they all give. Not worth thinking about.

I put it in jest above, but if we still had a programme and those were Ismael’s first notes in said programme nobody would bat an eyelid.

I didn't mind his first brief interviews / comments, tbh.

I always thought JE was droll and seemingly uninterested, just spouting buzz words in every interview.

I could never put my finger on it, but I never felt like he was someone you could trust.

Don't get that initial feeling from Big Val.

The overreaction to people’s overreaction to other people’s reaction to the letter is absolutely pathetically reactive.

I am so angry. Just what is the problem, people. 🤬

I knew it would be you who overreacted to the reaction to the reaction to people’s reaction to the letter.

A letter from your new head coach - blimey theres more spin there than a good man can shake a stick at!!

Maybe its me but I can't see anything wrong with it. Its what you'd expect from any new coach.

He has to say something by way of introduction so what else could he say?

Personally, I can't wait to find out what aspect of his speech will be identified as being used too regularly and become an inane stick to beat him with when things don't go well.

Will he be a 'you know', type? Or a 'absolutely', '100%', 'give it a right good go', 'in that way' aficionado? Will he say Blackburn instead of Rovers? Or will people just get annoyed with his French accent or marginally imperfect English?

What absolutely non-football-related thing will it be? Exciting times, looking forward to seeing what loads of people get their knickers pointlessly in a twist about!

Have to say it’s one of Steve Waggott’s better efforts though I’m sure he used AI because he wouldn’t have been able to write it himself

Back in the day there would have been a news conference but we ain't that important anymore so a letter puts it across for HC and saves waggott from receiving any embarrassing questions.

As for the letter, it's good he puts himself across this way.

Won't that press conference be tomorrow and just the normal pre match interview? Plus given the social media world we need live in, clubs have their own social media channels compare to 20 years ago.

Plus apart from the LT and BBC Lancs who else would be there?
