I have to wonder why his career since has taken him to Eastbourne after that, if he's any use. They play in the sixth tier.

Cos he is the manager/head coach there. He's wont be here but assistant head coach here.

You could say why did Mark Hughes ended up at Bradford now Carlisle given how well he did at Rovers, Stoke and Fulham in the PL

Well that's because his career was on a massive downward trajectory and he was getting older, reducing his desire for the pressure of the big jobs and meaning he hadn't kept up with the advances in football. He has become a fairly crap manager and we wouldn't want him here.

Are you saying that's what's happened to this bloke, except worse since he has stepped down several more tiers?

The Assistant is less important, but has an essentially similar skillset and could take over in an emergency or if the boss leaves. Which would give us a 6th tier level manager temporarily.

Hughes did very well overall in the PL.

Hughes was applying for jobs just not getting appoint by these clubs.

Hughes would have kept up with advances in Football. Hughes knows his stuff. He ain't daft

No idea is the honest answer.

If Ismael left then it would Lowe and Johnson as caretakers again

Hughes hasn't been the same since the Taffia left him. They made a great team.

The worrying thing about Murray / Rovers is that we have 11 (I think) games left, are in a great position to finish in the Playoff places and we're not pushing for Murray to join up with our staff from Eastbourne.

Tells you how serious they're taking this promotion challenge.

11th manager in 14 years (+ 5 caretaker spells in that time)
So generally looking for a new manager in 1.27 years.
IV has a 4 year contract 🙂

Bonkers isn’t it?

Especially as Mowbray was here for 5 and a half years of that 14!

I know we are used to the likes of Eustace just walking away mid season Maybe Murray just wants to fulfil his contract to the club that gave him a chance when others wouldn’t…Different people Different Morals ….. Different Strokes ……..

Yes, Eastbourne are having a decent season, and good for Murray if he’s staying to see it out and try and get them promoted.

Maybe Ismael insisted that a condition for taking the job was that he would be allowed to bring in his own backroom staff and Rovers have 'agreed' to this in the summer.

We all know what jam tomorrow promises can be made at Rovers and how often those don't materialise once 'circumstances change'

Then he's a fool and we're a coach down during the most crucial period of the season.

Evidently Isamael hasn't been given the remit that a promotion challenge is a priority.

Or more likely we won’t pay the compo

Eustace was allowed two, so I reckon it's more a case of Murray wanting to do the right thing by his current employers.

I would imagine they are more honourable people than our lot.

He's not going to be manager / head coach, is he?

To be honest I cant see the problem here.

Ismael already has Whitehead with him, and I don't see Murray as being crucial to our fortunes between now and May.

People just trying to make something out of nothing again. They are 2nd in the league with 9 games to go. It couldn't be that he just wants to try and finish the job he's there for, could it ?

Very good point and maybe Murray wants to actual show some loyalty to current employee and stay until the end of the season@JHRover and @Forever Blue, which rare in football but Murray is grateful for Eastbourne for giving him a job and wants to see the season through.

I'm sorry but a coach not wanting to leave Eastbourne in order to join Blackburn is not nothing.

Especially after our manager left us while we were in the playoffs to join relegation threatened Derby.

Please don't insult people's intelligence like that.
