Mercer, March 2028:

Think an insolvency scenario within the next 3 years is the most likely and almost inevitable outcome.

He has been saying this shit for the last 10 years and I'm sure he will be in the future

Sadly, Rovers are one of the most unusual business 'models' you are likely to encounter.

If you had an ounce of nous, you would realise Venky's were highly unlikely to continue funding losses of circa £20million per annum (and evidence over the last two years or so suggests they have now made that decision) and therefore the only way for the club to stay afloat was/is through the sale of players and given the 'big money' stars have all been sold the cupboard is almost bare so would you care to explain how the Rovers avoid insolvency!?!?

You been going on insolvency for years now and it's never happens.

As I said a few weeks ago before your return I said the club used the Wharton's money(plus others income) to keep the club going for the  2/3 years to around 2027 roughly. Plus reinvest only a 3 million pounds in the team plus wages. Rest going on covering the debt. Whilst the Venkys Indian court is ongoing. If we require the Venkys money we see if they are willing to sent it over. If we get to the PL that would solve the issue and possible sale of the club

How about they put the Club up for Sale and fook off for Good.

We need Owners with ideas and an interest in the Club to take us forward, not this slow death by a thousand  cuts bullshit.

Now then..there's an idea!

The owners have not funded the club now, for 18 months. Several posters on here, have suggested that the Waggott line “There is no impediment to them funding the club” to mean that they will send funds as required, but I have my doubts.
If the contracts of the players are not renewed, extended, this summer, I think we are in big trouble. We have seen this before, where players have been let go for free and we cannot keep doing that.

We have had an element of luck, with the sales of Wharton, Szmodics and the sell on fee for Raya and we may well get some more from the sell on fee for Adam Wharton, but this will eventually end in disaster.

The owners need to make a proper statement of intent, surely the fans deserve that, whether you do or do not believe what is being peddled by other people. They cannot keep on remaining silent, the fans deserve better.

Not quite. You and a few others argued for months that they couldn’t send any money and that the line about ‘no impediment funding’ was a lie. You were wrong.

The reality is they can send funds, hence ‘no impediment’, but they’ve absolutely no interest in doing so whilst the club can survive on the proceeds of the Wharton money etc.

A theory that might have more credibility had it not been an ongoing prediction by the same poster for years and years.

It's a bit like Jehovah's Witnesses and their Doomsday Theory.

One day, they may be right, to be fair, but it's no way to live your life, is it?

Read my post again, as you seem to be arguing against yourself there.
I have stated that they can’t send funds in the past, but have not said that in this post.

For what it's worth, I believe they will only ever send funds over as a last resort to stop anything like administration happening.

Right now they don't need to do it, so don't.

They will never go above and beyond to fund transfers or contract extensions again but to stop the club going into admin and losing power? They will always send the bare minimum to ensure that never happens IMO.

And of course that means that sooner rather than later we'll fall through the leagues.
