A certain MB member on his return from Derby will post words to the effect:

'A bad day at the office.  Ismael needs time, let's see where we are at the end of the season.  Let's be ready for Stoke and take the points there - COYB'

Thankfully, I live in the real world.

That performance was a total feckin embarrassment.  IMO, the writing is already on the wall - the players are not on board with Ismael.  I think this is all going to end in both tears and disaster as the club is about to plumb new depths.

IMO, an utterly spineless performance and for starters Pears and Dolan should never wear the shirt again.

I back Eustace to keep Derby up.  He is not a snake.  How many broken promises were made to him?  He deserved to be backed but was treated disgracefully.  Good luck John.

Something needs to happen quickly at Rovers and if it means rising from the ashes of insolvency then so be it.  Our club needs real passion and integrity like never before.

It does feel like we are awaiting the apocalypse, feel like a total meltdown is coming a League 2 and pssibly worse type meltdown.  There is no heart in the club once you step off the terraces (seats) like the fans are the only ones who rellay care.  I think this group of players do not fancy Ismael.

A regular con.

Players put out a message that they're up for it, as Carter did midweek, then let fans down massively by not turning up. Derby wanted to win and showed it. Our lot couldn't give a toss.

If I was VE I'd certainly make a statement in team choice v Stoke.

Well done to the 2,700 loyal Rovers fans

He made his statement by rolling out basically the same team that scraped by against Norwich - including Calamity Pears.

It was clear from the improvement in certain player performances from JDT to Eustace that a good portion of our current squad are soft as shite and need a constant arm around them.

The new manager won't do that - which is why he's a shocking appointment.

I will add - I hope Eustace goes down with Derby and they stay in League 1.

The thing is, if we're honest, there isn't a single player on our books that you'd pay good money to watch play football.

They're all eminently replaceable. They absolutely shouldn't have the ability to pick and choose which manager they want to play for.

That said - until we get new owners in it's all for naught. We've been run into the absolute ground.

A throughly disgraceful performance. All of them should embarrassed by that.

Ismael should not have changed the formation when Kargbo went off. That was a mistake.

Dolan should be in the reserves. I still can’t believe he is starting games.
Pears is built like a 12 year old girl, don’t think I’ve ever seen a weaker gk in the air before. Had a bit of purple patch earlier in the season and now he is back too normal, an accident waiting to happen.
What the hell was wrong with Brittain today, played the whole first half like he was having a seizure.
Good to have Ohashi back but that was a bad miss first half. Is he ever gonna manage 90mins?
ACD - We have better players in the academy. Another hilarious cameo. He had no idea what he was doing.

Where do we go from here? Mid table obscurity. Playoffs 🤣🤣🤣

Feel terrible for the fans that travelled.

I think it's been done for a while.  The last few weeks of JE were just as bad.

Albeit without Travis, Ohashi and Tronstadt available.

Like with JDT his worst run came during the worst spell of injuries and a non-event of a transfer window to help out. I was always hoping that once we got the proper midfield back we would go back to more like the pre-Christmas form.

As many on here knew, all going to usual MO.

Overachieve with good manager early doors.
Promises broken, no backing in January, manager leaves.
Scapegoat provided by hierarchy, narrative firmly in place and believed –cf. snakes at Derby.
Championship safety guaranteed, cost savings made, deflection from owners, SWAG bonus and rise intact.
New manager in place, get behind the lads, possible play off place.

To come as per usual:-

Squad disenchantment, mid table finish, contracts not sorted, assets sold off, new narrative of promoting the young (ie we have sweet FA to spend), we will rebuild in the summer with a new plan.

As always, do we have a rabbit to pull out of the hat (ie Sammy/Wharton) to keep the lights on? If not, I would predict just about surviving next season followed by relegation season after.

And yes, I will be there. Classic madness 😉

The main focus for us fans now moving forward is to strive to get out football team back.  We need Venkies out but I do not ever see or hear anything on the game that indicates even a modicum if displeasure at the owners and their charges.

If this football club is to continue to exist they MUST be forced out or we will be gone.  I see Venkies letting us become defunct before they would sell us

Today was an absolute sickener. Stuck having to dwell on it at Uttoxeter services as there is an accident on A50, delightful.

Today reminded me of Peterborough away a few years back. Big away following against a team absolutely nailed on for relegation, crunch game which was a must win to keep play-off hopes alive, then we absolutely blew it with a red card and two late goals conceded. Different only to today in that we conceded two early goals against the worst team in the league, still feels the same punch in the gut and the acknowledgement that this was probably it for top six.

Yeah.... I dont think we'll ever make the playoffs until we are able to win away at the bottom teams. We are absolutely horrendous in those games.

If anyone is in contact with any players after this non-commital embarrasing performance then please give them plenty of grief.

And I'll repeat what many think, i dont want Pears or Dolan in a Rovers shirt every again.

Richie Smallwood and Don Martin where better keepers than Pears. I will not support Pears if he is selected next week. I have paid for my ticket, I will boo or cheer whoever I want.
