I think Jack Walker was fantastic, but any protest shouldn't be built around his name and achievements.

He's not coming back. If you're planning on such a campaign, to 'fill Ewood' for one game as a show of defiance it should be about the illustrious history of the club and it's significance to the town (and surrounding area). Weave in to that messaging how our Indian owners have strangled the life out of the club and you've got a powerful statement.

This is why I have invited ideas. I’m not for one minute saying my suggestion is perfect, but think we have an opportunity to make a stand and a united front. Choosing the date of the birth of the club, can give us some traction, so let’s not waste it. 
Imagine us getting relegated or going under in our 150th year, either of which, could quite easily happen, under this regime.

They must be leaning on the most hated owners in English football by now. 
what frustrates me more than anything is it’s just all on pause while they own us, never back us to move forward or progress so we are all in absolute limbo. What worry’s me the most is that there has never been even a slightest rumble that they are thinking about selling

Most hated by who? I don't get the feeling there's a groundswell of hatred from the overall fanbase. Mainly just on places like here where there are older or more detail-orientated fans.

The common denomintator is hate of venkys, although when I'm at games I have doubts. Some decide not to go as a protest while others go to follow the team. My choice is to follow the team. Individual decisions and opinions. We're human.

Doing anything in EWOOD will have little to no effect ... only place where it hits is INDIA newspaper ads ...like TIMES OF INDIA or supporters twitter ,facebook and tiktok campaign ...showing plight of stadium , fans video with slogans

I think that a relatively good season to this point (thanks Eustace and staff) has helped to quell any major show of discontent in the stadium.

It would’ve kicked off at the Plymouth game, had it gone badly on the pitch.

We are now at a crossroads, and if the current, routine second half of the season slump continues, followed by a poor start to next season, the atmosphere will become more sour again.

I think more and more people will vote with their feet.

I understand those with the attitude “I’ll support the team, come what may”, but I think many will say “enough is enough” at the end of this season.

We are being mugged for our loyalty.

The future? If that future has Venkys still in it then I think its realistic to think Rovers will spend a fair amount of time in League One in the coming years. The cost cutting will continue, and that will only set the club up to aim for a lower standard each season.

I certainly don't see a future under Venkys where the club returns to the Premier League. Anyone who thinks its doable is kidding themselves.

You could say it's all ruining what those of bygone times did for the towns of Blackburn and Darwen

The Indians gave us workers and trade and Ghandi even visited here in solidarity with the men and women of the northwest who welcomed their extremly skilled people, you could even say its tarnishing their history as we have a good relationship and a poignant one with India here too (it's just another angle)

I think that's a really good angle to attack them from. They're not just tarnishing our reputation but the reputation of the Indian people.

If we could get that message pumped out in India somehow then that would possibly be quite damaging for them, especially since India is currently ruled by a fascistic nationalist party.

I’ve given up on this season, it’s effectively over.

Next season: Given up on that as well. Will be a miracle (the ‘water to wine’ kind) if we avoid relegation. Do we have 11 senior players contracted for next season?

Think only thing that would have any effect would be to bombard companies that service them here with protest letters. If they stop doing work for them then they make life difficult and they're lazy fuckers. 

 

Anything else they really couldn't give a fuck about. 

 

Either that or get a game postponed. Disruption is the order of the day.

I would love to see protests, would love to see direct action in the stadium, outside the stadium, etc. it won’t happen, because we had some dedicated and talented people trying to make that happen and happy clapper fans used to give them stick for it. So we played that card and those who organised have justifiably decided the effort wasn’t worth the hassle from the happy clappers.

The unavoidable truth is that the owners will not willingly let go of the club. They won’t return the calls of people who have enquired about buying the club. They’re the particular brand of inherited wealth that are purely ego-driven.

The only route out of their ownership is administration. The one thing the self-serving parasites in the directors’ box won’t risk is personal inconvenience and that includes jail time. Running a company that’s insolvent will land you there. Administration would wrestle control from the owners and a buyer would be found.

Yeah, you’re running the risk of “out of the frying pan and into the fire” but we’ve been in the frying pan for so long that we’re a husk. I’d rather take my chances that we bounce luckily away from the fire.

”Not a penny more” for me, but it needs to be concerted, organised and with a motivation. An education for the fans that think it’s more important to turn up than stand up, an outreach program to turn opinion against the owners, so that it can be beyond doubt that any financial backing from the terraces is over.

If you’ve got a season ticket - go. Don’t buy anything, protest and shout, back the team, but not a penny through the till. And don’t fucking renew, for God’s sake. The renewals this season were plain to see in the accounts for the year. £150k in pension contributions and £350k in salary to one Steve Waggott. So many all-inclusive cruises, so little time.

Unfortunately I think there would be more people in the "They are the only thing keeping us alive, its not 1995 any more" camp than people that would sign your petition. I think a lot of the folks that want them out are not going to matches any more.

I think there'll quickly be a groundswell of support for protests if the results on the pitch continue like they are. 

JDT and Eustace were papering over the cracks and letting Waggot and co have an easy ride. It looks like their gamble with this French lad hasn't paid off and they're in for a world of pain.

It's actually very amusing because I think they thought they'd played a blinder - £750k compensation money for Eustace, Ismael in on a 3.5 year career to assuage any fears about no 'long-term' planning and a pathetic 'allez le bleu' marketing campaign.
