Been telling my lad about a goal Emerton scored- dribbled from his own half for Feyernoord, sure it was in Europe against a good side.. 

However, I can't find evidence of this anywhere, I'm absolutely certain this happened. Can someone find the video for me or at least confirm I've not slipped into an alternate reality  (Mandela effect).

I think the goal you are looking for might be the one seen at 20 seconds in on the clip below. It came in a Dutch League game away at NEC Nijmegen in November 2000:
