Fair enough for finding an audience, I always feel old beyond my years when it comes to ‘watchalongs’ etc

It won't be. File it under the same category as when someone says "heard a rumour Venky's are selling" or "heard a rumour Waggott is retiring".

At this point the players not being paid would be a blessing in disguise. Though I'd be seriously questioning why not being as even without Venkys we should have the money from Wharton/Szmodics/Raya etc to pay them.

If it were the case I'd also be asking why Waggott gets such a big pay rise. I mean, I'm asking that anyway, but especially so in that instance.

Has Waggott had a big pay rise, or is this oft-repeated claim all coming from the accounts showing a substantially higher bill on the Director wages part? Because I'd assume that came from employing a Director of Football.

Re this Roverseas fella, It's a free country and it's not harming anyone, but I don't see the appeal of watching someone else watch a football match in their bedroom or whatever.

At least with TV and Radio they are professional broadcasters who pay experts to give views and usually have access to managers and players to interview post-match. I find it very odd that so many people these days watch these influencers watch the game and often just watch it to see them get mad and scream. Bizarre world.

In all fairness, I'd rather hear the opinions of some randomer than some of the so-called experts.

I for one couldn't stand John Motson or Jimmy Hill. A pair of absolute cretinous twats.

Fair enough, it must be me that's out of touch coz these guys are really popular. That Mark Goldbridge got so popular he got his own show on TalkSport eventually. He was a copper from Nottingham who supported Forest. He one day changed his name and started supporting Man United, filming himself in his bedroom screaming at matches and now he's successful. Bizarre.

Directors (in the context of the accounts) only covers Waggott, R Gandhi Babu, M Streenvisa Rao, and R Coar).

The highest paid of these has gone from £308,888 in 2023 to £433,028.

As CEO, this being Waggott makes the most sense.

If that is what he earns that’s a fucking disgrace.

In addition, Rovers made a pension contribution of £159k for Waggott - see the accounts.

Therefore the cost of Waggott is remuneration £433k, employers' NI circa £60k, pension £159k makinjg a grand sum of circa £650k!!!
