That’s without doubt right, and that is a narrative we need to get out there more generally.

The likes of ‘TK’ can’t be allowed to get away with spouting nonsense that nobody would ever buy a club of our history, stature, indeed who has been knocking on the door of the PL for the majority of the last four seasons. Of course there’s interest, we just need to to everything we can to make the owners actually leave the door ajar…

I refuse to believe there are people who would look at the likes of Luton, Brentford, Bournemouth, Wrexham and Burnley but completely discount Blackburn Rovers.

It simply isn't true no one would buy us the only issue is price and the vice like strangulation of the Venky overlords.

What you say about kickbacks, inflated contracts and agent fees all seems to be a likely scenario. We know for a fact that they've done a lot of that in the past. When you read about money laundering in football, this is generally how it's done. From day one they've been doing this stuff and they only tightened things up once the investigation was underway.

There's a case to be made for them being just disinterested in the club but that doesn't explain all the involvement with corrupt agents and corrupt organisations like Kentaro. Throw into that the investigation and a different sort of picture starts to emerge.

Since day one there's always been something dodgy about their presence here, what you say about the way they've financed this whole operation seems more than plausible, although I'm not any kind of specialist on how the Indian finance system works.

There seems to have been enough pressure on them to sell the house so maybe the pressure could get to the point whereby they have to sell the club to relieve it. We as fans can play our part in building up that pressure by getting them in the spotlight.

 

It most certainly will not be sat in an account waiting to be used i think its pretty much been covered that that money has already been accounted for.

Settling an 8 million loan for starters.

Plus there is still a 20% Indian govt tax before we mention guarantees and bonds so they'll only sent what they have to when they have to i'd wager.

The stooges on the one hand referenced the made-up figure of £22 million a year required to fund the club (sounds better than the real figure if you are defending Venkys). On the other hand they admitted and accepted that the vast majority of the tens of millions received has gone into covering losses so the owners don't have to.

So a new owner wouldn't need £22 million a year. It is already a lot less than that. Get a proper commercial team in place and ticketing and it falls further. Effective player trading reduces it further. Not necessarily easy, but possible for people with a brain/plan which this lot clearly don't have.

We have to be real and say that any new owner would likely need to know that they're signing up for 20-40 million a year. Yes, they can improve the overall financial performance of the club by re-engaging with supporters, but, in order to do so, they need to spend more on and off the field.

That's the same for every football club in this division.

If someone offered those two a big fee or slice of the action to arrange a deal to buy the club they'd be on the next flight to Pune International.

I'd suggest that's the only way it would ever happen.
