Based on some of the stuff Elliott Bennett came out with on a podcast recently in regards to his departure from the club, and then Connor Mahoney on the Blackburn End podcast talking about why he didn't stay at Rovers, then I'd hazard a guess that they are trying to be cheap about any new deal for Dolan, and the player probably knows he can get better terms elsewhere as well. Β In a lot of ways, that links to the wage bill, constantly being over Β£20m. I canβt get my head around it being that high, when we seem to be offering low ball wages and bringing in playeerz from abroad, or lower down the league from us. Surely something doesnβt add up. 2 Quote

chaddyrovers Posted Sunday at 18:48 Posted Sunday at 18:48 The Indian case isn't against Rovers. Is that correct?. Does it indirectly affect us? Yes. 2 different points. Quote

Yes. 2 different points. Your post says nothing to do with Rovers, hence the problem, itβs not against Rovers, but given that it seems to be having an impact on them funding us, it does have a lot to do with Rovers. Your first paragraph is correct though, it isnβt against Rovers. Edited Sunday at 19:15 by lraC Quote

Β He'll turn out to be another one who they could've tied down on reasonable terms that might have given him a big pay hike but in the grand scheme of things wouldn't be much more than an average Championship contract. It'll come out way down the line after he's gone because he was low balled and his agent scoured around and found he could earn double figures sat on the bench at Stoke or somewhere. Straight out of the Lenihen playbook this one but no doubt Waggot will tell the gullible he was offered a bumper deal at the last min but his head was in the departure lounge. 6 Quote

47er Posted Sunday at 22:21 Posted Sunday at 22:21 I expect we will lose all of Travis, Dolan and Β Brittain---all instrumental in our good moments this season. The reason---to get them off the wage bill. Nothing to do with what League we'll be in. Good servants to the Club cuts no ice with Venkys. No sense of loyalty whatsoever. Their replacements---I shudder to think. 3 Quote
Fraserkirky Posted Monday at 02:35 Posted Monday at 02:35 Lenihan thought he was better than he was, way too rash and couldnβt pass to save his life. Nyambe was a bit younger and athletic, and should have been retained. Amari Bell too went on too play a lot of games for Luton including a chink in the PL. We have previous here Dolan will be away and thatβs fine, can be replaced with a big faster player on the right. Done well recently but far too many 4/10s throughout the season.Β Quote
roversfan99 Posted Monday at 07:14 Posted Monday at 07:14 Bell was crap. Still is based on Saturday. At one stage he let a soft pass roll under his foot and back to us. I looked to see their team pre match and their fans werent keen on him playing. Quote

For an academy grad who cost nowt he was a rugged enough defender who might have commanded a modest fee at some point. I don't think anyone we've had since has been much better tbh. Quote
