roversfan99 Posted yesterday at 13:11 Posted yesterday at 13:11 When we dont sign "2 or 3 before pre season" it will be be patient FFS other teams havent signed anyone either. When it becomes clear we wont be spending much it will be well you can still sign quality on frees and loans. When we give sub par players an extra year it will be that they wont be playing every week but they can give good depth to the squad. Groundhog day. 6 1 Quote

Failed specactularly with another no mark from abroad deemed to be even worse than calamity Pears. Still need a new keeper. Lets hope he can proved his worth today and show why we signed him.Β Still need to replace Pears with a better keeper, maybe even 2.Β Not every signing works out. Should have gone for De Lange last summer 5 minutes ago, roversfan99 said: Went into this season needing a striker who can score goals. Signed 2, one has 7 league goals, the other has 6. Neither get into most teams in the league. Still need one. We need another striker that gives you different options and playing Ohashi has a number 10 with Gueye/another as the 9. What can't you get here.Β Β 5 minutes ago, roversfan99 said: Went into this season needing "pacy wingers" and also still need some of them. Karbgo has sorted that left sided problem but we need 2 right wingers signings this summer unless Dolan decides to stay which I can't see. Yes we need a number of signings to replace loans and I would focus less on bringing in more 2 players and if our young players are good enough, bring them through 5 minutes ago, roversfan99 said: If this season has been good recruitment then imagine what bad recruitment looks like. I would suggested you actually LOOKED at the comment I made in reply to yourself which was actually this "I would say its been a mixed bag of good, decent, ok and poor over the 2 windows." yet you again have made up comments which was never said. so why keep doing this Quote
davulsukur Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago We've not seen enough of Kargbo to determine if he's sorted that left hand side. 5 Quote

DutchRover Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Kargbo did look pacy and talented in his limited game time. I wasn't convinced we should have signed him, but I think he showed enough to suggest he can be one of our 2 left wingers next year (still need another for rotation). His assist for Dolan was genuine moment of brilliance that not many in our squad would/could have done. Issue is we have so many holes to fill with all the guys leaving (loans and frees), and if (when...) we sell our spine of Trav/Tronstad/Hyam/Brittain we won't replace them with as good quality. Quote
Tugayisgod Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Man City want Blackburn babe New 48 minutes ago By Alan Nixon Manchester City want to sign Blackburnβs brilliant South African kid Camden Schaper - at the age of 13! Β Attacking midfielder Schaper is a stand out at youth level after coming to England with his family just over a year ago. Β Rovers signed Schaper, who already has a contract with Adidas, just a year ago and he could now be heading for the Manchester giants. Β City already have Schaperβs kid brother Astin who is a talented keeper. He is only 12 but has been with them for months. Β Meanwhile Blackburn are sorting out a new deal for young striker Joe Boggan who is entering the last year of his current contract and attracting big interest. Β Boggan, 17, is expected to agree terms on a long term stay in the next few days. He is due to make his first team debut in the run in. Quote
Tugayisgod Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Everton starlet on Blackburn hit list New 50 minutes ago By Alan Nixon Β Β Everton midfielder Harrison Armstrong is on Blackburnβs hit list for a summer move. Β Armstrong has been a stand-out for Derby County on loan and he could head for the Championship again next season. Β Rovers had lined up a move for Armstrong before the Rams took him. Ironically previous boss John Eustace was keen on another more experienced target. Β Now Blackburn are looking for younger players either on loan or for bargain fees and Armstrong is one of them. Mercer Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago We could end up needing at least 10 new additions plus 2 new goalies to replace, IMO, the calamitous Pears and Toth (on evidence of his handful of games, Toth is another Wahlstedt). Loanees all heading back: ACD, Beck, Dennis, Sanderson and Woodrow.Β Only Beck would be worth trying to keep though with Ribeiro now contracted, an unlikely pursuit. Contracts up: Batth, Dolan, Forshaw, Hedges, Weimann.Β Think Dolan will go and is clearly putting himself in 'the shop window' as opposed to a new found loyalty for Rovers otherwise would have agreed a new deal 12-18 months ago.Β Batth and possibly Weimann (subject to him proving his fitness following knee surgery) worth keeping.Β Forshaw and Hedges should be shown the door. Contracts up in 2026: Brittain, Hyam, Travis and Tronstad - tbh, could see at least 2 of those leaving if their agents can get them the right gig as difficult to see our 'better' players staying based on what's happened this season. I think we are in the deepest of shite and unless Ismeal is binned, I can only see us cut adrift at the bottom of the Championship by Christmas with a team made up of loanees, cheap signings and desperados. Enjoy the sunshine whilst it lasts! 2 Quote
