JHRover Posted Tuesday at 10:50 Author Share Posted Tuesday at 10:50 I suppose I shouldn't moan as my area has been 'frozen' at £349 in the JW Lower....IF I commit and buy before 2nd May, which I have already decided I won't be doing as this is too big a decision to rush into before the summer chaos unfolds Precisely how Waggott is approaching this - come up with an early deadline and price hike afterwards to force people into renewing quickly before the reality hits home in May, June and July. I also find it outrageous and totally unacceptable that they refuse to disclose pricing for phase 2, thereby preventing people from making an informed decision on whether or when to buy. You basically are coerced into a quick decision to sign up as if you don't you run the risk of being subjected to a massive increase in May. At least give the people the info they need, but then again suspect they won't even know because they will be intending on adjusting the phase 2 prices to address the response in phase 1. If Phase 1 is a disaster for their figures they will increase phase 2 even more to try and meet Waggott's targets. Disgraceful. None of this is about filling Ewood or achieving anything as a club. It is all about meeting his targets.

Mental - so we’re talking £429 for a Blackburn End ticket in that scenario. Let say you can make 18 of the 23 games you’re talking £24 a match! Long gone are the days of a ST being value for me and I’d be scratching my head at why anyone would buy one and not just pick individual matches. (and this is only phase 1!) No doubt you'll be telling them that at the next FF then. You've plenty to go at with the Eustace debacle, the appointment of Ismael, and now this. Have they announced the reconvened date for the next meeting yet?
Backroom Popular Post Tom Posted Tuesday at 10:57 Backroom Popular Post Share Posted Tuesday at 10:57 “With rising operational costs, including matchday expenses and essential stadium improvements, our new pricing structure has been carefully crafted to strike a balance between affordability for supporters and the club's long-term sustainability.” Did the same rhetoric come into play with Mr Waggott’s golden handshake increase?

The exact sum I've just done in my head as a JW upper ST holder. Young family and all those commitments, holidays, stuff the Mrs organises behind my back.... I'll probably make 17 or 18 games a season, and that probably includes all night matches which are always a pain in the arse. Even at £25 a ticket which is fairly standard matchday pricing in the JW upper throughout the season, I'd only be paying £450.00. Not sure I can justify it.
superniko Posted Tuesday at 10:57 Share Posted Tuesday at 10:57 (edited) Phase 1 comparison to last year 1 adult, 14 year old and 8 year old in the Blackburn End would cost 23% more than last year (£527 vs £428) (Other examples of families / groups buying result in the same theft from the club) Edited Tuesday at 10:58 by superniko

If I was renewing my lapsed ticket (which I'm not) I think I'd be purchasing using a credit card in case things go bump mid season.
ABRAM ROVER Posted Tuesday at 11:00 Share Posted Tuesday at 11:00 meanwhile down the road at Bolton they have already shifted 12,000 in early bird. Be lucky if we sell 1200.
rog of the rovers Posted Tuesday at 11:05 Share Posted Tuesday at 11:05 Any comment on this from the trust? Personally I've not fared too badly as my ticket in the Riverside will actually come down £50 in price! But the decision to increase the prices when the fan base is so low is just suicidal in my opinion.

Do we think there's any other Club in the Fotball League that would only be aiming to fill around 15% of its Stadium with ST Holders, and who would put tickets on initial sale without divulging the price in subsequent phases?
windymiller7 Posted Tuesday at 11:07 Share Posted Tuesday at 11:07 £109 more than last year for me & my daughter! Due to the stupid KO times and work commitments, we've missed more games this season than ever before so I think you know what you can do with your ST you stupid fat turd!

They sold 2,500 in the first 24 hours - our lot would deem that a success by the end of summer. £259 an adult in their main home stand in Phase 1 (vs £399 in BBE for us) It’s double the price here for 1 adult + 2 children Look at the difference in fan engagement here vs what we’ve sent out today

TugaysMarlboro Posted Tuesday at 11:16 Share Posted Tuesday at 11:16 I imagine they'd hoped we were still in the hunt for a playoff place and the manager hadn't ruled it out 3 games into his tenure, by deciding now was the time to release these figures. There's no logical reasoning behind any of it, timings, pricing, the PR spin put out. They're now just hoping people will loyally purchase tickets regardless of what happens. I'm sure some will, I'm just hopeful it's a low enough number for Venkys to realise their only option is to piss right off into the sunset.

JHRover Posted Tuesday at 11:24 Author Share Posted Tuesday at 11:24 The brass neck that they claim to be doing this with 'sustainability' in mind. Absolutely nothing this club has done in the last decade, be that running assets' contracts down, failing to invest in personnel, allowing tens of millions of players to walk out for nothing, neglecting the commercial department, employing sub-standard executives etc. etc. etc. is indicative of a club with any interest in 'long term sustainability'. The only thing they want to sustain is making life easier for Venkys and keep the bonuses flowing on the gravy train for Waggott and co. Attempting to use the 'sustainability' buzzword as it sounds good and tugs at the fans emotions.

Wheelton Blue Posted Tuesday at 11:39 Share Posted Tuesday at 11:39 Wow. If I've worked this out right, the tickets for myself and my daughter (U23) in the JWU outer have gone from £546 to £658. That's an increase of £112 or 20%. Her's alone has gone up 37%. They really are stupid.

The take up of the early bird offer will be so poor that, at this moment in time, they would be mad to tell us what the prices will be in the next phase. So poor, in fact, that there may well not be a next phase. The negativity on social media, against both the ownership and season ticket prices, is gathering momentum and if there is an expected drop in sales now, they’ll hardly shift any in proposed next phase. It’s coming home to roost.
