For Blackburn Rovers to have a less of a profile in BB1 Rishton of all places than possibly soon to be back in non-league Stanley and probably the Dingles too sums up the wilful neglect of this regime.

That doesn't ring true. I was at a sports man's dinner for Rishton fc a few weeks back, grandson plays for them.
Rovers fans heavily outnumbered anyone else.

A lot of my work is in Rishton and Harwood. Even in these lean times, Rovers is definitely the most prominently supported club.

That's likely still the case yes, Rovers will be still the most supported club in such places (as it bloody well should be ahead of such other clubs)

But that's down to location and history and not any efforts the club has made in the last 15 years. And it doesn't excuse the club not lifting a finger in all those years to try and retain or grow the numbers.

Exactly. Those ‘Hyndburn’ towns are Rovers towns (and so they should be against bloody Stanley), they’ve been a Rovers hotbed for 150 years (though all three have far more Dingles then they used to).

I’m talking about what the respective clubs are doing.

No Darwen is a different case entirely. It’s Blackburn that will have seen by far the biggest decrease in match going support in comparison to any other ‘Rovers’ town/village this past twenty years.

I live on one of the new build estates off Livesey Branch Road, loads of families moving in from other areas and using it as a commuter town.

Its a bit old school but targeting with some snail mail would have been an obvious idea

That’s exactly what PNE or Bolton would be doing for an equivalent estate.

Here? Mail shots? Nah, remember we have our ‘Digital’ Policy.

A non-Rovers mate of mine from Rawtenstall has taken his lad onto Ewood a couple of times just to watch a game.

The club have his details, as is required for on-line purchases.

You'd think he would be a perfect prospective supporter to contact and encourage to come back.

Have they ever proactively contacted him? Have they heck.

the toxic trio and the utterly useless yasir sufi (the commercial director who does`nt do any marketing)definately will not be aware of a potential new catchment area, they are far to busy in their own little bubble, there are loads of polish and romanian kids around the area and they`ve never attempted to tap into that market, those kids love  football

Just how thick do Rovers think its supporters are!?:

V12 Finance information

V12 Retail finance is offering a repayment plan to pay for your 2025-26 Season Ticket spread over 10, 8 or 6 monthly repayments. The 10,8 and 6 month repayment plan interest rate is 0%, meaning you do not pay any interest but incur an arrangement fee calculated at 11.01% , 9.58% and  8.30% respectively of the cost of the Season Ticket.

I think the club deserve to be where they are - IMO, an insult to its supporters.

Totally agree. V12 are also a bunch of absolute c**ts & don't want people who have a good credit history.  They actually want you to fall behind with payments & so incur additional charges.

I paid with them a couple of seasons ago (check my posts around the same time). No problem, all paid on time. Got an email saying you're all paid up,  if we can be of assistance in the future etc etc. Then a couple of months later, I tried to pay for that season's ticket - refused! No changes to my credit history in that time, my problem was that I was a good creditor. Absolute charlatans! Check out their reviews online for similar stories.

The additional charges are now there to compensate for people who, you know,  pay on time!

All the schools in Lancaster used to get free tickets on a rota basis once upon a time, the impact being we had our own supporters branch and coach running each week. I can pretty much name each of the Rovers fans locally these days!

I agree I grew up in this area, family still live there and it's approx 75% Rovers, and that's not with blue tinted specs.

So today they've released a 'Message from the Captain' about season tickets and 'look forward to writing the next chapter of our story together'

I'm at a point now where I'm questioning whether they are deliberately attempting to wind people up or they just have absolutely no idea how ridiculous they are.

In his last interview the captain admitted that nobody from the club had so much as mentioned a new contract which expires in 1 years' time. Most of his team-mates are gone either this summer or at the same time and none have been offered new deals either.

So I'm not sure how they are expecting to 'write the next chapter together' given such a negligent and reckless approach to contracts and squad building.

But I think they are so totally short on ideas and deluded they don't think people will pick up on this.

No doubt they'll be using AI just like with all their other press releases.

I don't blame them TBF, they've nor real intelligence they can use.

Roll up roll up and grab your tickets folks for priority seats to watch your club be destroyed, neglected, no investment, no plan, never have a chance of promotion, will probably get relegated, have the worst owners in football history and clowns making decisions in the board room....

On second thoughts, up yours.

Why don't they just be honest and say 'come and wing it with us for another year, nobody knows what they are doing and anything could happen, that's the exciting bit'.

Next chapter is stay up, stay solvent.
