Why don't they just be honest and say 'come and wing it with us for another year, nobody knows what they are doing and anything could happen, that's the exciting bit'.

Next chapter is stay up, stay solvent.

But we know exactly what will happen.

Roll up roll up and grab your tickets folks for priority seats to watch your club be destroyed, neglected, no investment, no plan, never have a chance of promotion, will probably get relegated, have the worst owners in football history and clowns making decisions in the board room....

On second thoughts, up yours.

Don’t forget and do it in a decaying stadium and be careful of treading in something nasty around the ground on your way in.

Well its turned out that the storming first half of a few seasons we've had is absolutely vital to our relegation scrap.

Play offs have never even come into it but they put little soundbites in towards India like 'depending what division we are in' when talking future transfers and ticket prices.

Everyone knows damn well because if you don't recruit for promotion you will never ever get it no matter who is in the dugout !

I did say I wouldn't be buying a season ticket. I haven't renewed as yet.

But I am dithering now..

Why, out of interest?

Mark. I just enjoy watching football.

Fair enough.

Everyone has there reasons to do what they want.

I'll be renewing too and no matter how loud anyone shouts on here or in real life, it won't change my stance at all.

I’d never even given it a second thought before this summer.

My overarching feeling on it is (putting the ‘making a stand’ and all that to one side) purely on a personal psychological/leisure time perspective, if I stop, that’s me done as with a decent distance to travel to Ewood and all the fixture moves/night games/on TV anyway, I’d very quickly get used to not losing a day of my weekend every other week.

I'm guessing you, like me Matty know plenty who have stopped going and very rarely or if at all bother now.

One or two do a few aways a season for a day on the ale but some haven't stepped foot into Ewood for years despite still following very closely, watching TV and knowing all the ins and outs etc.

I tried it once before when we employed Coyle, I just couldn't bring myself to get a season ticket that year and it's nothing at all to do with any dingle connections just a rank bad appointment where it was clear he wasn't going to be up to it and thought someone was genuinely taking the piss out of me.

Still ended up buying a fair few match tickets that season though and couldn't quite kick it.

My near 15 year old is Rovers obsessed and that's my reason for renewing as who knows what will happen in the next few years, he might lose interest, or go off to a uni at the other side of the country or something.

If nothing has changed i don't see myself renewing if my lad cant/doesn't want to go.

I can honestly say that, as long as I’m still treading the planet, I will return if / when Venkys go.

I will miss going in the meantime, but can see the bigger picture.

Every ticket bought helps keep Venkys in.

I would go to some games, it’s my club and my heritage,  but when it suited me, I’d imagine, instead of the opposite way round it’s been my whole Rovers supporting life - I.e would I buy another season ticket? Not sure I would.

I stopped going for a couple of seasons around the time of K*an. My thinking was that I'd pick and choose a few games, but I gradually got out of the habit and stopped going completely.

Then when my daughter showed an interest, I was back on it and realised what I'd been missing.

I'm dithering for next season cos of the all the recent shenanigans, but will likely renew ours. The way I look at it now, is that it's our club, not theirs, and why should they again stop me doing something which I've done for most of my life.

I've renewed,my son's renewed and 3 grandchildren asked me to renew theirs and I have.

Despite the nonsense on this site, the money doesn't go to the Reos/Venkys.

What a complete load of bollocks.

Shows just how little understanding you have of anything. Embarrassing thing to post.

Not knocking you for renewing either, before you start chatting shit about that.

Reading this sort of thing makes me glad I won’t be there next season.

Some people deserve how the club is being run.

Haven't seen a post that said it does.

It does pay the wages and perks of Swaghail and Gestede though....

The players and staff will get paid either way.

So technically any income does go to the owners. We make a loss every year which needs subsidising. Income reduces the anount needed, naturally.

I've renewed. No brainer to renew. Enjoyed going every game. All 3 of us have renewed.

it's going to the club not Venkys.

Have you bought or renew for next season?

Staff yes, players no.

How much do you think is left out of ticket income to pay players after all ground staff, office staff, Swaghail, Rudy and co are paid ?

No idea is the honest answer. How would you honestly know all that unless you had a detail break down of each staff wage

The sales of season tickets helps to pay the wages of staff who work in the club offices, the shop, the cleaners, the maintenance guys etc.  Already renewed my season ticket - there was never any doubt that I would.  Everyone makes their own decision.  I've made mine and I'm more than happy with it.  Will renew my away travel season ticket when that comes out.  Owners, CEO's, directors, managers, players come and go.  The one constant that remains are the supporters - through good times and bad.
